Adiraj's final promise had permanently shattered the locks Rudra had placed on his heart over the past eight months. There was no longer any room for fear or hesitation. When you find a shield willing to embrace even your deepest weaknesses, keeping secrets feels like a betrayal.
Rudra took a long, steady breath. His gaze was now clear, devoid of any masks.
"I will tell you the truth about my skills," Rudra said, his voice ringing with newfound confidence. Adiraj, Vikram, and Raghav stood in absolute silence, listening to the young hunter.
Rudra began to explain the technicalities: "If I obtain the Mana Core and a primary Physical Fragment—such as a bone, tooth, or blood—of a fallen monster, I can deposit them into the 'Soul Sanctuary' within my mind. There, a dark energy filtration process begins. This process incinerates the monster's wild, primal 'Will,' leaving only its raw power. Once the filtration is complete, an automatic blood-contract is formed between that power and myself."
Rudra paused for a second before continuing. "Following this contract, the resulting shadow beast is 100% loyal to me. It is physically incapable of betrayal."
Adiraj and Vikram were visibly stunned. Taming skills were exceptionally rare, but a skill involving absolute loyalty and dark filtration was unheard of among even the highest S-Rankers. This was a power that could potentially shift the global balance.
Vikram's tactical mind immediately raced toward the possibilities. "Can you form a contract with an A+ Rank Boss core and fragment as well?" he asked seriously.
Before Rudra could respond, Ruin Soul's cold, calculating voice vibrated in his mind. "Yes, you can. But an A+ Rank Boss has an incredibly resilient 'Will.' The duration of the filtration is variable—it could take one minute or one year, depending on the resistance."
Rudra relayed this information to Adiraj and Vikram without omission. Adiraj processed the data, a strange spark igniting in his eyes. He nodded peacefully. "Follow me."
The Impossible Evolution
Time: 07:15 PM Location: Sector 2 (A-Rank R&D and Forge Zone) Adiraj turned and headed toward a part of the HQ strictly off-limits to ordinary dungers. They soon arrived at a heavily guarded, dome-shaped building: the A-Rank Resources and Development (R&D) facility.
This was Rudra's first time inside. The interior resembled a high-tech laboratory from a science fiction film—pristine white walls and massive transparent mana-chambers where tech-mages experimented on rare materials. The mana pressure was so thick that a D-Ranker would have found it physically impossible to breathe.
"To enter the high-security zones, every member's mana-signature and current MP must be updated," Vikram explained, leading Rudra into a glass-walled Testing Room. Rudra stood in the center of the advanced Mana Measuring Machine. Blue lasers swept over him.
Beep! The numbers on the screen spiraled upward before locking onto a final figure.
Current MP: 380,000
Silence fell over the room. Raghav's jaw dropped, and Vikram stared at the screen in disbelief. But no one was more shocked than Rudra himself. That morning, his MP had been 150,000. A jump of 230,000 MP in a matter of hours was scientifically impossible.
"How?" Rudra demanded of Ruin Soul internally.
Ruin Soul responded in a calm, almost proud tone. "During your death-match with that 350K MP Lycan, your body was under extreme survival pressure. Your mana-veins expanded temporarily to prevent your vessel from rupturing. I took advantage of that opening and funneled three more A-Rank Essence Stones from your inventory into the filtration process. The heat of combat pushed the filtration into hyper-speed. Your new base power is now 380,000."
The Sovereign's Vault
Time: 07:40 PM Location: The Sovereign's Vault (Underground)
They reached the lowest level of the building. The corridor was silent and dark, ending at a massive, dark metallic door. There were no human guards; the door's security system was an S-Rank defense in itself.
Adiraj stepped up to the panel. A red laser performed a retinal scan, followed by a fingerprint match. He entered a complex numeric code, but the final lock remained. Adiraj placed his right hand on a circular panel in the center and injected his 255 Million Mana Signature.
Vroooommm!
The ground vibrated as the massive door groaned open, releasing a cold, ancient air from within. Adiraj signaled them to follow. As the four of them stepped inside, the door slammed shut with a heavy thud, locking them in with the world's greatest secrets.
