Location: Black Market to Old Sewri Dockyards
Date & Time: November 2025 (External Reality)
The appraisal counter in the underground bazaar was relatively quiet. From beneath the shadow of his hood, Rudra stared directly into the broker's eyes and delivered a cold, flat command.
"Show me the current price list for all dungeon-harvested materials."
Without asking a single question, the broker pulled out a transparent Magitech tablet and swiveled the screen toward Rudra. The exact market rates for every rank and item illuminated the glass. Rudra's mathematical mind processed the numbers in microseconds:
Infused Ore: ₹2,000 per kg.
Glowshards: ₹25,000 per piece.
Essence Dust: ₹5,000 per kg.
Vitreous Fluid: ₹15,000 per liter.
High-Density D-Rank Mana Stones: ₹8,000 per piece.
Echo Moss: ₹8,000 per kg.
Pure D-Rank Corrosive Venom: ₹20,000 per liter.
D-Rank Armored Boar Tusks: ₹15,000 per set.
D-Rank Shadow-Cat Claws: ₹12,000 per piece.
Processing the prices, a faint, cold smile touched Rudra's emotionless face. He ran a quick mental estimate of his inventory. In this new Magitech ecosystem, his net worth easily numbered in the crores.
Rudra shifted his gaze from the tablet back to the broker.
"I have so much material," Rudra stated in a dead, unyielding tone, "that you will need heavy transport trucks and literal bags of cash."
The broker froze, his eyes widening in sheer disbelief. Small-time loot was sold in the Black Market every minute, but ordinary Dungers didn't bring in materials by the truckload. Instantly, a greedy gleam appeared in his eyes. He assumed the hooded figure before him was the head of an illegal mining syndicate.
"Alright," the broker said, quickly composing his voice. "Give me a location."
"Give me a location where N.D.A.I. spatial radars and sensors cannot track us," Rudra countered coldly.
The broker thought for a moment before responding, "The Old Sewri Dockyards. It's the deadzone of Sector 12. The air is so thick with rusted iron from the old ships and heavy sea salt that Magitech sensors suffer severe interference. It's a natural blind spot. The N.D.A.I. can't track anything there."
"Good. Tonight," Rudra said, turning to leave. Before blending into the crowd, he added one final condition. "Remember. Payment is strictly in liquid cash. Bring bags."
Without waiting for a reply, Rudra vanished into the bustling throng.
Location: Old Sewri Dockyards (Sector 12 Deadzone)
Time: 11:45 PM
The dark night and the cold, salt-laced sea breeze swept through the desolate dockyards. The massive, skeletal remains of rusted cargo ships loomed in the shadows. It was a true deadzone; the presence of any electronic or mana-based sensor here was an impossibility.
Rudra stood alone in a wide, open clearing. He extended his hand and issued a silent command to his 1,200 sq. ft. subspace inventory.
A dark ripple distorted the air, and materials began to cascade onto the ground.
First fell the heavy, brick-sized chunks of Infused Ore—2.4 tons (2,400 kg) in total—forming a small mountain of raw metal. Next came 600 kg of Glowshards (120 football-sized pieces), their deep blue radiance instantly illuminating the dark dockyard. Following them were heavy steel drums containing 200 kg of Essence Dust, and 140 liters of Vitreous Fluid sealed in thick glass jars.
Once the bulk was unloaded, Rudra extracted his specific D-Rank scavenging loot: 150 pieces of fist-sized High-Density D-Rank Mana Stones, 30 kg of highly compressed Echo Moss in airtight containers, 10 liters of Pure D-Rank Corrosive Venom in acid-proof vials, 10 sets of heavy two-foot D-Rank Armored Boar Tusks, and 30 dagger-sharp D-Rank Shadow-Cat Claws.
This was the haul he had surgically extracted from the Dharavi-era dungeons. By the time the massive pile was formed, his 1,200 sq. ft. inventory was roughly 80% empty.
At exactly midnight, two large stealth-trucks rolled into the clearing, their engines humming silently. Heavy jammer sheets were draped over the cargo holds.
The trucks stopped, and the broker stepped out, flanked by four armed guards. The moment his eyes landed on the glowing, mountainous pile of materials, he stopped dead in his tracks. His jaw dropped.
He had agreed out of greed, but he hadn't anticipated a scale this massive.
The broker hurried forward, pulling an advanced scanner from his pocket. He checked a Glowshard, a chunk of Ore, and finally, a vial of Corrosive Venom. His mind short-circuited.
Though these were E and D-Rank materials, their quality was absolute top-tier. The Ore contained zero percent soil impurities. The claws were severed perfectly at the base without a single fracture. Ordinary Dungers usually damaged materials during chaotic combat, but this loot looked as if an extreme professional had surgically extracted every single piece from the monsters' bodies.
"This... this is flawless extraction," the broker muttered in awe. "Not a single piece is damaged."
"Run the calculations," Rudra's cold voice snapped him out of his shock.
The broker frantically began typing on his tablet.
(Ore: 48 Lakh) + (Glowshards: 30 Lakh) + (Dust: 10 Lakh) + (Fluid: 21 Lakh) + (Stones: 12 Lakh) + (Moss: 2.4 Lakh) + (Venom: 2 Lakh) + (Tusks: 1.5 Lakh) + (Claws: 3.6 Lakh).
"The total amount is... 1 Crore 30 Lakh 50 Thousand Rupees (₹1,30,50,000)," the broker announced, his voice tinged with a mix of deep respect and fear.
The broker was an experienced man. Unsure of the exact total beforehand, he had brought a full ₹2 Crore in liquid cash inside his stealth-truck as a precaution to ensure the deal didn't fall through.
He signaled his men. The four guards hauled heavy black duffel bags onto the dirt, counting out the exact bundles totaling ₹1,30,50,000, and placed them directly in front of Rudra.
Rudra looked at the cash with cold indifference. He extended his hand, and in the next micro-second, the massive fortune vanished into the air, transferring directly into his 80% empty inventory.
"The deal is concluded," Rudra said without a trace of emotion. Like a shadow, he melted back into the darkness of the dockyard, leaving the broker and his men to painstakingly load the top-tier loot into their trucks.
Rudra was now officially a multi-millionaire in this new world.
