Location: United Nations Emergency Summit, Geneva (A.W.A.K.E. Command Center)

The massive underground bunker in Geneva was filled with a silence so heavy it felt like a graveyard. World leaders, military generals, and top-tier scientists sat in the dimly lit hall, their eyes fixed on a giant holographic screen. The chaos the world had witnessed over the past seven days had stripped these power-hungry leaders of their sleep. Mutinies were breaking out in every nation, people were spiraling out of control with their new-found 'Mana,' and a suffocating fog of fear had settled over the planet.
A man stepped onto the stage. This was Richard—the head of A.W.A.K.E. He carried an air of absolute authority that commanded instant silence in the room. There was no trace of exhaustion or fear on his face.
"Gentlemen," Richard's voice boomed through the speakers. "For the past week, we have been fighting amongst ourselves. We treated those who awakened with this new energy as lab rats, trying to experiment on them and control them. But today... I am here to tell you that our focus was entirely wrong."
A military general at the back spoke up with a sneer, "So, what? Do we just leave these mutants to run wild? They can burn entire cities down!"
Richard smiled faintly and gestured toward the screen. Symbols and ancient runes began to glow on the display. "They are not mutants, General. They are our last hope. You might wonder how A.W.A.K.E. decoded this magical energy, this 'Mana,' so quickly in just seven days? We didn't. These 'Awakened' individuals taught it to us."
Richard began to explain the concept of 'The Wisdom Classes.' He revealed that during awakening, certain individuals received 'Mental Imprints'—innate knowledge of the new world. He detailed the roles: The Perceivers (Drishta), who could see the flow of mana without scanners; The Stabilizers (Sanyami), who calmed unstable mana to prevent people from literally exploding; The Architects (Sthapati), who understood the geometry of mana; and finally, The Decipherers (Anuvaadak), who were already reading the laws of this new era.
"With the help of these guides," Richard continued, "we have established a foundation rank system for all Awakened. From now on, an individual's power will be measured in 'MP' (Mana Points)."
A chart flashed on the screen, mapping the new power dynamics of the world:
Rank E (Novice): 0 to 5,000 MP
Rank D (Soldier): 5,000 to 10,000 MP
Rank C (Veteran): 10,000 to 50,000 MP
Rank B (Elite) & B+ (High Elite): 50,000 to 500,000 MP
Rank A (Grandmaster) & A+ (High Grandmaster): 500,000 to 30 Million MP
The leaders were stunned. No one had imagined that humans could achieve such levels of power. But Richard's next words sent a fresh wave of terror through the room.
"Do you think this power is too much?" Richard's voice turned cold. "This power is merely a tool for survival. Our Decipherers have uncovered a truth that will redraw the map of this world within a month."
The screen showed a simulation. In the middle of a peaceful city, the ground cracked open, and a massive, thirty-foot-tall iron door shrouded in black and red mana emerged.
"We call these 'Hell Gates,'" Richard said. "Within the next month, these gates will begin to open in every corner of the world. Inside them is hell. Inside them are Monsters. An E-Rank gate will be 20 feet tall, and an A-Rank gate can be as massive as 50 feet. Every gate contains a 'Boss' who, depending on the rank, will be more dangerous than our strongest individuals. If the Boss isn't killed within a few days of the gate opening... the monsters inside will pour out and devour our world. Conventional nukes and missiles cannot destroy these gates. They can only be closed from the inside."
A deathly silence followed. People forgot to breathe as the scale of the threat sank in.
"Therefore," Richard slammed his hand on the table, "we will stop treating these people like lab rats! From now on, every person who awakens will be given a title of respect. They will be called 'Dungers.' And to survive those Hell Gates, A.W.A.K.E. has categorized these Dungers into simple, logical classes."
The screen displayed a tactical breakdown:
Combat Classes (The Front Line):
Warrior (Yoddha): Masters of close-quarter combat who use mana to push their strength and endurance beyond limits.
Vanguard (Rakshak): The human shields. Their mana makes their skin and muscles so dense that they become living walls, absorbing attacks to keep the team alive.
Striker (Prahaari): The heavy artillery. They concentrate mana into explosive, massive attacks. High impact, but they drain mana quickly.
Scout (Khoji): Speed and stealth experts. They map out the gates, find safe paths, and detect traps. They avoid direct confrontation.
Support Classes (The Lifelines):
Healer (Upchaarak): Rare individuals who use mana to regenerate cells at hyper-speed, healing mortal wounds in minutes.
Buffer (Prerak): Energy multipliers who inject their mana into allies to boost their speed, strength, and defense.
Utility Classes (The Backbone):
Porter (Vahak): Awakened with extreme physical load-bearing capacity. They carry the heavy military equipment and loot that normal humans cannot move.
Tracker (Maargdarshak): Natural radar systems who can sense the flow of mana to detect hidden dangers.
The initial shock of the leaders turned into a desperate sense of hope. Richard had turned chaos into a perfect, logical system in just one week.
"I propose the formation of the G.D.A. — Global Dungers Association," Richard concluded. "This body will assess all Dungers, assign ranks, and train them. We must stop experimenting on them and start nurturing them."
The voting system turned on. One by one, green lights flickered across the hall. 90% approval. The G.D.A. was born, and Richard was unanimously elected as its first Global Director. The survival machine of humanity had begun to turn.
Location: Dharavi Slums, Abandoned Godown, Mumbai
Date & Time: January 9, 2025 | 06:30 PM (IST)
Thousands of miles away from the clinical systematic world of Geneva, a deathly silence had hung over a dark, rotting godown in Dharavi for the last seven days.
The blood of the D-Rank mutant had long since dried and turned black on the floor. Right next to it, a boy in tattered clothes suddenly stirred.
Rudra took a deep, heavy breath, like a man surfacing from deep water. He slowly opened his eyes. Despite the pitch darkness, his [Primal Adaptation] allowed him to see everything with crystal clarity.
He sat up and placed a hand on his chest. Seven days ago, his ribs had been shattered, nearly puncturing his lungs. Now, there wasn't a hint of pain. The bones had knitted back together, stronger and more solid than before. Despite not eating for a week, he felt no hunger. The D-Rank energy had completely recharged his system.
He picked up his Bronze Baseball Bat. It was still dented and stained with the dried blood of the feral mutant. It felt heavier in his hand, or perhaps his own grip had simply grown stronger.
"So... the long nap is over?" The cold, familiar voice of Ruin Soul echoed in his mind.
Rudra rolled his neck, hearing a faint crackle. "How long was I out?"
"Exactly seven days," Ruin Soul replied. "And in those seven days, your body has changed just as much as the world outside. You are no longer that stagnant 'molten iron,' kid. You've taken your first real strike."
Rudra slung the bat over his shoulder and walked toward the broken door, where the cool Mumbai air was drifting in.
"But remember one thing," Ruin Soul's voice turned serious. "Seven days ago, you were just running from the system. But now... the rules of the game have changed. The era has truly begun, and you must decide: will you be the prey, or the greatest threat this new world has ever seen?"
Rudra pushed the door open and stepped out into the labyrinthine alleys of Dharavi. A brand-new world was waiting for him.
