The Story of an Unemployed Life
Riyad wakes up every day at seven in the morning. When the alarm rings, he nudges himself awake and thinks, "Will I do something new today?" But day after day, in this same black-and-white routine of life, his hope is slowly fading.
In the mornings, he watches the news and sees that his friends or acquaintances have found jobs or become successful in business. And him? Still unemployed, searching through countless cities and websites for work, yet finding no results.
In the evenings, Riyad goes out to the city streets. People are busy, laughing, running. And he—walking while thinking, "What should I do? Where should I go?" Sometimes he imagines having his own small office, his own small business, where he could make his own decisions.
At night, when he returns home, he sits and thinks again—what should he try tomorrow? Where should he send applications? Sometimes it feels like life has stopped for him. But still, he doesn't give up. Every day, he reminds himself, "My day will come someday."
