Chapter 1 - System and Overpowered at the start

Part 1: The Roll That Broke Reality

The moment Haruto activated the roll—

Reality *refused* to behave.

The colors didn't swirl.

They stopped existing.

Space fractured like glass.

Time… skipped.

[ERROR]

[ERROR]

[SYSTEM LIMIT EXCEEDED]

Haruto frowned.

"…That can't be good."

[User Authority Detected]

[Reclassifying User…]

[User is no longer bound by system constraints]

"…Excuse me?"

The "gacha" didn't spin.

Instead—

It asked.

[What result do you desire?]

Haruto blinked.

"…That's cheating."

[Correction: This is your authority]

For a moment, Haruto said nothing.

Then he chuckled.

Low.

Amused.

"…Alright then."

"If I'm doing this…"

His eyes sharpened.

"…I'm not holding back."

"I choose the strongest possible result."

Silence.

Then—

Everything collapsed inward.

Not light.

Not energy.

But *concepts*.

[Result Confirmed]

[Authority Acquired: "Demon King – Sovereign Beyond Creation"]

The world… broke.

A pulse spread outward from Haruto—

And the forest vanished.

Not destroyed.

Not erased.

Just… no longer relevant.

He stood in darkness.

No.

Not darkness.

Nothingness.

Then—

A voice.

Deep.

Ancient.

Endless.

"You have taken something that even the system cannot define."

Haruto didn't flinch.

"…And?"

"Then prove you can bear it."

Something pressed down on him.

Not weight.

Not force.

But existence itself rejecting him.

Haruto sighed.

"…This again?"

He took a single step forward.

And the pressure shattered.

Like glass.

Silence followed.

Then—

The voice laughed.

"…Absurd."

The nothingness peeled away.

The world returned.

But it wasn't the same.

[Authority: Demon King – Sovereign Beyond Creation]

Classification: Absolute Authority

Rarity: EX++

Source of Existence: Your origin cannot be destroyed. Even if erased, you will return.

Conceptual Domination: Laws, logic, and abilities are subordinate to your will.

Magic Eyes of Creation & Destruction :You may create or Destroy anything, including abstract concepts. (temporary sealed)

System Supremacy: The Gacha System now functions as an extension of your will.

Haruto stared at the screen.

"…So basically…"

He raised his hand.

A small flame appeared.

Then—

It turned blue.

Then black.

Then—

It stopped being fire entirely.

"…I can just decide things?"

[Answer: Yes]

"…Wow."

He closed his hand.

The flame disappeared.

Not extinguished.

Not gone.

Just… no longer existing.

A bird flew overhead.

Haruto glanced up.

For a split second—

He saw it.

Its path.

Its future.

Its end.

Every possibility.

"…That's annoying," he muttered.

[Adjusting perception filters…]

The visions stopped.

"…Better."

He looked at a tree.

Thought for a moment.

Then—

"Break."

The tree didn't snap.

Didn't fall.

Didn't even move.

It simply—

ceased.

No sound.

No trace.

No aftermath.

Haruto blinked.

"…That's a bit much."

He waved his hand.

The tree came back.

Perfectly intact.

"…Okay, that's convenient."

A pause.

Then he laughed.

Not nervously.

Not uncertainly.

Confidently.

"Yeah…"

He looked toward the distant village again.

But this time—

There was no hesitation.

No curiosity.

No caution.

Only certainty.

"…Nothing in this world can actually stop me, can it?"

[Answer: Correct]

"…Then I guess the only question is…"

His smile turned slightly sharper.

"…how interesting can I make it?"

As he began walking—

The air itself seemed to shift around him.

Not resisting.

Not welcoming.

[Acknowledging.]

Far away—

Something ancient stirred.

Something that had existed long before kingdoms, before magic, before history.

And for the first time—

It felt something unfamiliar.

Fear.

[End of part: 1]

[Part: 2]

The moment Haruto stepped forward—

Reality adjusted.

Not for him.

To him.

The quiet forest dissolved into something else entirely.

Buildings.

Roads.

Voices.

A city.

Kuoh Town.

Haruto stood in the middle of a sidewalk, blinking once as the world "updated" around him.

"…So this is the next setting."

[World Identified: High School DxD]

"…Of course it is."

He exhaled lightly.

"I'm guessing supernatural chaos, hidden factions, and overcomplicated power systems?"

[Summary: Accurate]

Students walked past him, laughing, chatting, completely unaware that something fundamentally *wrong* had just entered their world.

Haruto glanced around.

Then paused.

"…Ah."

There it was.

Energy.

Not like the raw existence he controlled—

But structured.

Organized.

Different.

Demonic power.

Holy energy.

Fragments of something else.

"…So that's how this world works."

As he focused—

The world peeled back slightly.

Invisible layers became visible.

And then—

He saw them.

On a distant rooftop—

A girl with crimson hair.

Eyes sharp.

Presence overwhelming compared to everyone else.

Rias Gremory

"…That must be one of the main ones," Haruto muttered.

Beside her—

Another figure.

Calm.

Cold.

Golden eyes that seemed to analyze everything.

Akeno Himejima

Haruto tilted his head.

"…They noticed me."

Because they had.

Rooftop – Kuoh Academy

Rias narrowed her eyes.

"…Akeno."

Akeno smiled faintly.

"Yes… I feel it too."

"…That presence."

Rias's voice lowered.

"…It doesn't feel like a devil."

"…Nor an angel," Akeno added.

"…Not even a fallen angel."

They both fell silent.

"…It feels like—"

Akeno finished it. "—something that shouldn't exist."

-Back to Haruto-

Haruto sighed.

"…I should probably tone it down."

[Suggestion: Limiting output to 0.0001%]

"…That low?"

[Current presence is destabilizing local reality]

"…Right."

He snapped his fingers nothing flashy happened.

But everything change the pressure vanished.

His presence—

Collapsed inward.

Contained.

"…Better."

On the rooftop—

Rias blinked.

"…It disappeared?"

Akeno's smile faded slightly.

"…No."

"…It didn't disappear."

Her eyes sharpened.

"…It hid."

Haruto started walking.

Hands in his pockets.

Expression calm.

"…Alright."

"If I remember correctly…"

He glanced toward the school.

Issei Hyoudou

"…the main character should be around here somewhere."

[Do you wish to interact with key individuals?]

Haruto thought for a moment.

Then smiled.

"…No."

[?]

"I don't need to follow the story."

His eyes darkened slightly.

"The story can follow me."

As he stepped onto school grounds—

A barrier activated.

Invisible.

Automatic.

Designed to detect supernatural threats.

The moment it touched Haruto—

It broke.

Not shattered.

Not destroyed.

It simply…

gave up.

Inside the old school building—

A magic circle flickered violently.

Rias stood up abruptly.

"…The barrier—!"

Akeno's expression turned serious.

"…Something just forced its way in."

"…No."

Rias clenched her fist.

"…Something walked in like it owned the place."

Hallway

Haruto walked casually through the corridor.

Students passed by, unaware.

"…So this is a devil territory."

He touched the wall lightly.

Information flowed instantly.

Contracts.

Magic systems.

Hierarchy.

Power structures.

"…Too complicated."

He let go.

"…I'll simplify it later."

A voice called out behind him.

"Hey—you."

Haruto stopped.

Turned.

Rias Gremory stood there.

Akeno just behind her.

The air grew tense.

"…You're not human," Rias said directly.

Haruto looked at her.

Then smiled faintly.

"…Correct."

Akeno's eyes narrowed.

"…What are you?"

Haruto thought about it.

For exactly one second.

Then answered honestly.

"…I haven't decided yet."

Silence.

That answer—

Was worse than any threat.

Rias stepped forward.

Power gathering around her.

"…State your purpose."

Haruto looked at her.

Not dismissively.

Not arrogantly.

Just… neutrally.

"…I was bored."

The hallway temperature dropped.

"…So I came here."

Akeno's smile disappeared completely.

"President…"

"…Yes."

Rias's eyes hardened.

"…He's dangerous."

Haruto sighed.

"…You're overreacting."

Rias's demonic power flared.

"…Am I?"

Haruto looked at it.

Analyzed it.

Understood it.

Surpassed it.

Instantly.

"…Yes."

He raised his hand slightly—

Rias froze.

Not physically.

Not magically.

Conceptually.

Her power—

Stopped.

Her movement—

Paused.

Time—

Didn't move for her.

Akeno's eyes widened in shock.

"…What did you just—?!"

Haruto lowered his hand.

Rias returned to normal.

Staggering slightly.

"…What… was that…?"

Haruto shrugged.

"…A demonstration."

Silence filled the hallway.

Heavy.

Unavoidable.

Then—

Haruto smiled slightly.

"…Don't worry."

"I'm not here to destroy anything."

A pause.

"…Unless I get bored again."

Far above—

In places beyond the human world—

Something shifted.

Great Red stirred.

Ophis opened her eyes.

And in the depths of the underworld—

Ancient beings felt it.

A presence.

Not demonic.

Not divine.

But absolute.

Back in the hallway—

Haruto turned and began walking again.

"…Let's see how long this world lasts."

[Part: 3]

The hallway stayed silent long after Haruto walked away.

Rias clenched her chest slightly.

"…That wasn't power."

Akeno nodded slowly.

"…No."

Her voice was quieter than usual.

"…That was authority."

Occult Research Club Room

Rias sat at the head of the table, fingers interlocked.

"…We have to bring him in."

Akeno raised an eyebrow.

"…Recruit him?"

"…Contain him," Rias corrected.

"…If something like that is left alone…"

"…It could destroy everything."

A soft voice interrupted.

"I agree."

A silver-haired girl leaned against the wall.

Koneko Toujou

"…He's dangerous."

Rias stood.

Decision made.

"…Then we approach carefully."

School Courtyard

Haruto sat on a bench, casually watching students pass by.

"…This world is loud," he muttered.

---

[Sensory filter adjusted]

"…Better."

Footsteps approached.

He didn't look up.

"…You took your time."

Rias stopped in front of him.

Akeno and Koneko behind her.

"…We want to talk."

Haruto sighed.

"…That usually means something annoying."

Rias ignored that.

"…Join us."

Haruto finally looked at her.

"…No."

Immediate.

No hesitation.

Akeno smiled thinly.

"…You didn't even hear the offer."

"…I don't need to."

Haruto stood.

Hands in pockets.

"…You want control."

"…I don't do that."

Rias's power flared slightly.

"…This isn't optional."

Haruto tilted his head.

"…It is for me."

Silence.

Then—

Rias made a mistake.

She attacked.

A surge of demonic power shot forward—

Condensed destruction.

Fast.

Precise.

It hit Haruto.

Nothing happened.

The attack didn't explode.

Didn't dissipate.

Didn't get blocked.

It simply—

lost meaning.

Haruto looked at it mid-air.

"…Return."

The attack reversed.

Not reflected—

rewritten.

It flew back.

Faster.

Stronger.

Rias's eyes widened—

Impact.

BOOM.

Smoke filled the courtyard.

Students screamed in confusion, unable to see what truly happened.

When the smoke cleared—

Rias lay on the ground.

Unmoving.

"…President!" Akeno rushed forward.

Koneko froze.

"…She's—"

Dead.

Silence fell.

Heavy.

Unreal.

Akeno's hands trembled slightly.

"…You…"

Lightning crackled around her.

Fury rising.

"…You killed her."

Haruto blinked.

"…Oh."

A pause.

"…Right."

He stepped forward.

Akeno attacked.

Lightning tore through the air—

Haruto walked through it.

Untouched.

Not resisting.

Not blocking.

It simply didn't apply to him.

He stopped in front of Rias's body.

"…That's inconvenient."

Akeno's voice shook.

"…You think this is a joke?!"

Haruto ignored her.

"…Let's fix it."

He crouched.

Placed a hand lightly over Rias's chest.

"…Revive."

Nothing flashy.

No glow.

No magic circle.

Rias inhaled sharply.

Her eyes snapped open.

"…What…?"

Akeno froze.

"…President…?"

Rias slowly sat up.

Looking at her hands.

Her body.

"…I died."

Haruto nodded.

"…Yeah."

Silence.

"…And you brought me back."

"…Yeah."

Rias stared at him.

Not fear.

Not anger.

Something deeper.

"…What are you?"

Haruto thought for a second.

Then answered—

"…Something above your system."

Dimensional Gap

A vast, endless void.

Great Red opened its eyes.

Dreaming no more.

"…Something has entered reality."

Elsewhere—

Ophis stood silently.

"…Balance is disturbed."

Her gaze shifted.

"…I will see it."

Back to Haruto

Haruto stood up.

"…See?"

He looked at Rias.

"…No permanent damage."

Rias slowly stood.

Still shaken.

"…That wasn't healing."

"…No."

Haruto shrugged.

"…I just denied your death."

Silence.

Koneko whispered—

"…That's impossible."

Haruto glanced at her.

"…That word doesn't apply to me."

Suddenly—

The sky cracked.

Not metaphorically.

Literally.

A massive pressure descended.

Reality trembling.

Haruto looked up.

"…Oh."

A tear opened in space.

From it—

An infinite presence.

Great Red

And beside it—

A small figure.

Ophis

They descended.

The world froze.

Time slowed.

Existence held its breath.

Ophis looked directly at Haruto.

"…You are disrupting everything."

Haruto nodded.

"…That happens."

Great Red's voice echoed—

"…Prove your existence."

Haruto sighed.

"…You're both strong."

A pause.

"…By this world's standards."

Ophis stepped forward.

"…Fight me."

Haruto thought about it.

Then—

"…No."

Silence.

"…Why?" Ophis asked.

Haruto looked at her.

"…Because I'd win instantly."

A pause.

"…That would be boring."

Great Red attacked.

A beam of pure annihilation—

Capable of erasing dimensions—

It reached Haruto.

And stopped.

Mid-air.

Haruto raised a finger.

"…Too slow."

He flicked it.

The attack reversed.

Expanded.

Evolved.

Great Red disappeared.

Gone.

Erased.

Silence.

Ophis stared.

"…You erased him."

Haruto shrugged.

"…Temporarily."

He snapped his fingers.

Great Red reappeared.

Unharmed.

Confused.

"…Why?" it rumbled.

Haruto smiled slightly.

"…To prove I could."

Silence.

Heavy.

Absolute.

Ophis stepped back.

"…You are beyond balance."

Haruto nodded.

"…Yeah."

Rias whispered—

"…This… isn't a being…"

Akeno finished it.

"…This is a rule."

Haruto turned away.

Hands in pockets again.

"…Anyway."

"…I'm still bored."

He glanced back.

"…Try to make things interesting."

As he walked away—

Even beings like Ophis didn't stop him.

Because they understood.

Not fear.

Not defeat.

But the truth.

They couldn't stop him.
