Chapter 1: Meet TimTim was a very honest boy.
He was also very literal.
If someone said, "Wait a second,"
Tim waited exactly one second.
If someone said, "Hold your tongue,"
Tim tried—and failed.
Everyone liked Tim, but talking to him was risky.
Chapter 2: A Normal Morning (Almost)One morning, Tim's mother said,
"Tim, hurry up or you'll miss the bus!"
Tim looked around and said,
"Mom… how can I miss something that is so big?"
Then she said,
"Eat quickly!"
Tim took one huge bite and said,
"Done."
His mother sighed.
Chapter 3: Trouble at SchoolAt school, the teacher said,
"Class, open your books and keep your eyes on me."
Tim opened his book…
and carefully placed his eyes on the desk, staring at the teacher.
"Tim! What are you doing?" the teacher asked.
"You told us to keep our eyes on you," Tim replied.
The class laughed for five minutes.
Chapter 4: The Big ExamDuring the exam, the teacher warned,
"No funny business!"
Tim raised his hand.
"Is serious business allowed?"
The teacher closed her eyes and said,
"Just write the answers, Tim."
Tim nodded very seriously
and wrote answers only.
No questions.
Chapter 5: A Helpful FriendAfter school, Tim's friend said,
"Don't take everything so seriously."
Tim thought for a moment.
The next day, when someone said,
"Break a leg!"
Tim smiled and replied,
"No thank you. I need both."
Everyone laughed.
Chapter 6: The LessonTim learned something important:
Words can be funny.
People don't always mean what they say.
But being kind, honest,
and a little funny—
that's always taken the right way.
And Tim?
He still took things literally—
just a little less dangerously.
