Chapter 2: The Girl Who Sat Beside Me
The next day at school felt different.
I don't know why, but I woke up earlier than usual. Maybe it was because I was thinking about the new girl who sat beside me yesterday.
When I entered the classroom, my eyes immediately looked at the bench where we sat together.
She was already there.
She was looking outside the window quietly, and the morning sunlight was falling softly on her face. For a moment, I just stood there without moving.
Then she noticed me
.
"Good morning," she said with a small smile.
My heart suddenly started beating faster.
"G-good morning," I replied.
I sat down beside her, trying to act normal, but inside I felt nervous.
"Did you find the school okay yesterday?" I asked.
"Yes," she said softly. "Everyone here seems nice… especially you."
I was surprised by her words. I didn't expect that.
We started talking a little more that day. About school, friends, and small things.
It felt comfortable.
It felt different.
And without realizing it, I started waiting for every moment I could sit beside her again.
Maybe… something new was beginning in my heart.
