A familiar voice suddenly echoed inside Scarlate's mind.
Scarlate frowned slightly and spoke in a low voice, "Where have you been all these days?"
The Demon King replied lazily, "I just went somewhere for a while."
Before Scarlate could ask anything else, the Demon King suddenly interrupted.
"Wait… what is this place?"
Scarlate looked around the large building and replied calmly, "This is the Magic Academy."
The Demon King sounded a little curious.
"Then what happened to your appearance?"
Scarlate smiled faintly and said, "Oh, that. I changed it. I'm hiding my real identity while studying here in the academy."
There was a short silence.
"Oh… I see," the Demon King replied.
The next morning, Scarlate woke up early.
After getting ready, she walked toward the main hall of the Magic Academy.
The hall was enormous and already filled with many students. Groups of young boys and girls were talking excitedly about the academy and the upcoming entrance exam.
Scarlate quietly observed her surroundings
What surprised her the most was something she didn't expect.
Nobles and commoners were standing together in the same place.
There were no separate lines, no special treatment.
Seeing this, Scarlate felt a little happy inside.
"So this academy doesn't discriminate between nobles and commoners…" she thought.
But suddenly—
Scarlate's expression changed.
She sensed something.
A powerful magical presence appeared in the air.
It was extremely strong, far stronger than the magic of the students around her.
The space in front of the hall suddenly distorted.
And in the next moment—
Someone teleported there.
A bright flash of magic appeared, and an old man slowly walked out of it.
He looked around seventy years old, with white hair and sharp eyes that seemed to see through everything.
The entire hall became silent.
The old man looked at the students calmly and spoke in a firm voice.
"My name is Lucas."
"I am the principal of this Magic Academy."
The students immediately became serious.
Some looked nervous, while others were excited.
Principal Lucas continued speaking.
"Today, we will test whether you are worthy of becoming students of this academy."
"This will be your entrance examination."
As soon as he finished speaking—
A magic circle suddenly appeared beneath every student.
In the blink of an eye, all the students were teleported to different classrooms.
Scarlate suddenly felt the world around her change.
A moment later, she found herself sitting inside a quiet classroom.
In front of her was a desk
And on the desk—
a sheet of paper.
The first test was a written exam.
But this was not a normal test.
This test was designed to check a magician's imagination and understanding of magic.
Scarlate calmly picked up the paper.
But the moment her eyes landed on the question—
her expression froze.
Her eyes widened slightly in surprise.
"What…?"
Even Scarlate, who had trained for many years and possessed incredible magical talent, was shocked by the question written on the paper.
