Two days had finally passed. During this time, because nothing important had happened, Tyel had never gone to the rebels' base except for the night before his free day.
"Sorry guys, I'll have to return home now," said Tyel in front of his two friends, Martheel and Chud, who had asked him to come and drink together. Tyel had just finished changing into his usual clothes when the two men stopped him and asked if he wanted to go drink something.
"C'mooonnn… tomorrow you've got your day off. Are you really sure?" asked Chud, a bit annoyed by this answer.
Martheel, behind Chud, gave him a small bump on his neck with his hand. "You should remember that tomorrow you have to work, so you should not slack off like this," spoke Martheel with a serious tone. Chud turned back his head and looked at him with desperation in his eyes.
"But but…" Chud turned silent and breathed heavily. "Well, Tyel, don't worry, we will wait for you to arrive, but next time don't dump us," said Chud as he gave a thumbs up with his hands. Tyel, at the sight of that, laughed softly and waved at his friends behind him.
"Well, I'll see you soon, everyone." With that, Tyel went out of the room and waved back at the group.
"See? I've remembered what we talked about the other day, to not put pressure on him…" said Chud as he turned his head back towards Martheel, who was stuck with his eyes on the door. "Hey, are you listening to me?" said Chud, raising his voice.
"Oh yeah, yeah, sorry… what were you saying?" Martheel, hearing Chud raising his voice, snapped back to reality. "But have you noticed how well he has been doing in these last days?" asked Martheel as he looked proudly at the closed door.
"I've noticed it too… I wonder what happened that everything has been alright for him in these past two days," pointed out Chud.
'I've been able to relax as much as I could these past days… not using my power surely has been able to help me,' thought Tyel as he went outside the prison. In these days he hadn't been killed once. 'My mind feels much lighter… and I need to prepare for what's about to arrive.'
Tyel had finally arrived in front of the rebels' base. The thought that soon he would return to that yellow space and he might die over and over again scared him. 'I can't afford to lose any time, Ardoris needs this hero,' thought Tyel as he moved the boxes and entered inside the base.
"Ehii Tyel, we were discussing the plan for tomorrow!" said Vane the moment he noticed his friend going down the stairs to enter the room.
"Hey Tyel, how has it been?" asked Orechin the moment Tyel entered the room. "Not bad, and because I haven't arrived here in these days…" said Tyel, before getting interrupted by Darian, "That means nothing bad has happened, right?"
Tyel nodded his head and took a seat near the group. "So? What were you able to come up with?" asked he.
"It's really simple. Our idea was to send Liro alone to see if everything down there is alright," started to explain Darian.
"We don't know where that creature might be. At least we'll know if it is at the entrance waiting for us…" said Liro as he noticed the confused look on Tyel's face, who hadn't understood yet why Liro had to be the only one going. "And since I'm the only one going, we don't know how long the fight can actually last, so it's better that I don't use much soul."
"And so we will have to go around without your power?" asked Tyel, a bit worried that the seamstress might find them. Darian shook his head. "But we've got your power to cover us. We don't want you to use it much, but we hope you've rested well for now, so it won't be a problem for you to use your power."
'C'mon Tyel… you've rested exactly for this moment,' thought Tyel as he lowered his head, calming himself down.
"Don't worry, everyone, I'll be ready… and so? What other things have you prepared?" As Tyel asked this, the whole group remained for multiple hours speaking together about tomorrow's plan until it was late and Tyel had to return home.
"Well, I think I'm coming here tomorrow at nine o'clock as we've planned. Be ready that we will rush outside immediately," said Tyel as a warning. "And do you have enough food for tomorrow too? Do I need to buy some stuff?" added he. Orechin shook his head.
"Don't worry, we've got enough for tomorrow. You'll bring us something more next time," spoke Orechin with a reassuring tone. Tyel nodded his head and started to head outside. "Well… I'll come tomorrow. Be ready, everyone." Tyel turned his head back to the whole group, who all nodded together. "Don't worry, Tyel, we'll be there," answered Lily as she saw Tyel heading outside the base.
"Woaaah… I'm so tired. Thinking about today's plan has completely destroyed me… yawnn," said Syrmax as he stretched himself out and got up from his chair. "As we talked with Tyel, a lot of time has passed. I want to get ready for tomorrow. Good night, everyone," said Syrmax as he started to walk towards the rooms.
"I'm going to sleep too, guys. Tomorrow I'd better be ready as I'm going to be the first one to enter the yellow rooms," said Liro as he got up from his chair too and headed towards his room. The only ones left in the room now were Darian, Vane, Lily, Orechin, and Snowy, even if the creature had started to sleep already since Tyel went away.
"Now that I think about it… we've kept calling them the yellow rooms, don't you think we should create a proper name?" asked Vane as he got up from the chair and went to lie down on the sofa.
"Just don't fall asleep on the sofa like last time…" whispered Lily as she remembered when yesterday, after talking to each other, Vane went to the sofa and fell asleep there.
"I know… still, I'm serious. Darian or Orechin, do you have something in mind?" asked Vane as he stretched himself once again before turning his face first towards Darian and then Orechin.
"I don't know… we haven't been there yet. It's hard to choose without seeing it first." Darian, as a biologist and as a researcher, couldn't give a name to something he hadn't seen yet.
"Maybe the Seamstress's Sanctuary? I mean, we know that she lives there, and from what Tyel told us, it's almost like her sanctuary as she plays with her plushies." Orechin proposed this name, and the first one to immediately agree with it was Lily.
"I like it. It captures the essence of the place we're going to visit soon…" murmured she as she shook in excitement to see something new.
"Well, it can work for now. At least it's better than calling it just the yellow room… do you agree, Vane?" asked Darian. But rather than an actual answer, only silence came. The only thing that could be heard was a small snoring that soon became stronger.
"Once again…" said Darian as he had completely given up his hopes with Vane, who, once he's tired, could easily fall asleep anywhere.
"At least he'll be well-rested for tomorrow…" said Lily as she tried to find the good in this. The group laughed softly.
The following day, Tyel was once again in front of his Timehors costume. 'The hero will return once again.' He wore the costume and grabbed his knife that he had already used to kill himself multiple times, putting it into his pocket, and with that he headed outside, ready for another mission with his group.
"You're all already here… perfect," said Tyel as he noticed the group coming out of the base at the exact time he had told the others.
"Then, Syrmax, you've decided to come?" asked Tyel. In the plan they had told him yesterday, because it would be night, there was the chance that Syrmax might decide not to come and instead remain home.
"I'll take some energy from the artificial light. Even if it is a bit, I'll try to charge up as much as I can," said Syrmax. Currently, he didn't have his monocle and he didn't even come out with his shirt, even if it was extremely cold and he was shaking.
"Well, we should not lose any time. Let's head towards our hole," said Lily. The others nodded their heads, and without any problem, they were able to reach the secret hole created a few days ago.
"I can't believe it is still there… they haven't found it yet, eh?" pointed out Darian as he looked at Lily, who created a small root on the ground that appeared right outside the wall, trying to hear any movement of any dangerous robot.
"We're free, no one's nearby," said Lily as she pulled back the roots, and the first one to crawl outside was Vane.
"I would have told you if someone had found out about the hole. Luckily, none of the guards have been able to spot it yet," answered Tyel as he watched all his friends passing through the hole, being the last one to follow.
"Tyel… where should we go?" asked Darian. "We still have plenty of time. Let's go a bit further," ordered Tyel. The group walked some steps away from the walls rather than walking nearby, as the robots would be able to spot the group without any problem.
'I don't want to die already. If possible, I want to save these deaths for what's about to come…' thought Tyel while the group followed him from behind.
"I can't believe we arrived in the desert too… it's my first time here, it feels so strange to walk on the sand…" pointed out Syrmax as he kneeled down to grab some of the sand in his hands.
'It's my first time too, unlike when we went outside of the walls… it surely is strange, eh?...' With this thought, Tyel suddenly looked sad as he looked over at Orechin and Syrmax, who were surprised to be on the sand.
'I wonder how many times I'll end up seeing this scene.' Tyel remained stuck on this scene until Lily brought him back to reality.
"So, Tyel? Does your power tell you where the entrance is?" asked Lily. Tyel, snapping back to reality, looked a bit confused.
"The entrance?" asked he, confused. Lily nodded her head. "Yeah, can't you tell where it is located thanks to your future sight?" asked Lily. Tyel lowered his head and began to think.
'And now, what excuse do I create?' thought he as he started to come up with an excuse, which soon arrived. "It's simple, my power doesn't let me see directly into the future of everything. When there is a location I don't know, like the entrance of the Seamstress's Sanctuary… I like this name, Orechin, you've done a great job," said Tyel. Orechin next to him smiled proudly.
But soon enough, Orechin's face changed like the others. As Tyel looked around, he realized that they were all confused and clearly needed more explanation. "Unlike when I entered the sanctuary for the first time thanks to my power, I was right in front of the entrance, or when we were digging the hole, I was in front of it, so I knew what would happen. Now I only see our status so that we will be alright… but I can't tell exactly where we entered."
"Ohhh, well, that would have been too good if it worked like that," said Vane, slightly annoyed, as he started to dig through the ruins of Karyuz searching for the entrance.
"Lily, don't you think you can use your power to locate the entrance?" asked Liro. While everyone else had already started to search, she closed her eyes for a moment and sent multiple roots underground.
After some minutes of constant searching, Lily opened her eyes. "I found something, come here," said she as she led the group towards the place where she believed the entrance was located.
"I'll move this… Darian, help me," said Vane. Darian nodded his head and fused with Snowy, and they both started to move the rock away.
"Brr… now that Darian has activated his power, it's even colder," said Syrmax as he started to shake. "I told you to bring your shirt…" said Orechin as he looked up at the sky, slightly annoyed.
Soon enough, Darian and Vane had moved away the rock and a small hatch was revealed. "Is this the entrance?" asked Orechin. Liro slowly opened it and used his power to camouflage with everything around him.
"There's only one way to find out… remember what we agreed? If after 2 minutes I don't return, that means I might have died. But the moment you see the hatch opening again, that means you should come down too." Right before Liro was about to go down, Darian stopped him.
"Hey, Liro, before you head deeper… are you really sure you want to go alone?" asked Darian, worried. But Liro, still invisible to everyone's eyes, answered without hesitation.
"I need to overcome this fear of her. I can't remain behind always. Wait for me, everyone." With that, Liro went down the stairs to enter the Seamstress's Sanctuary, while the whole group remained worried about the outcome of this mission.
