While Vane, Naluri, and Lily were fighting against Banaikuj, Liro and Darian fought against Poisudonom. The moment the fight started, all of them were in the square, even if they were in opposite corners.
Darian shot a big shard towards Poisudonom, who smashed it with his punch. The moment it got shattered, the shard broke into multiple pieces.
Another shard was going towards Poisudonom, right on his left. It was going extremely fast, even more than what Darian could create normally. 'I won't be able to block it!' thought Poisudonom. His body moved at the last second, dodging the other shard. The shard passed right next to his body, but the moment it landed on the ground, the shard didn't shatter.
In fact, once it reached a building that was still standing, it simply passed through it. "Huh?" Poisudonom, confused, looked around. He knew about the human who could create illusions, but he wasn't anywhere to be seen now.
"Don't get too much distracted!!" shouted Darian. He created multiple shards that all went towards Poisudonom.
"Don't worry, I'm not distracted," answered Poisudonom. Right before the shards were about to take him, he jumped and started to roll on the ground. He rushed directly towards Darian.
'If I kill him, the other one won't be a problem anymore,' thought Poisudonom as he rolled extremely fast towards Darian. The few shards that reached him were immediately destroyed by his spikes.
Now Darian could see him arriving towards him and waited before jumping away. "ICE ARMOR!" As the armor appeared on Darian's body, he waited some more seconds before jumping. He wanted to get hit. In fact, the moment he jumped, it was already too late, and the spikes were about to pierce into his body.
Some spikes were able to damage Darian's skin, but the cuts were superficial. It wasn't a problem yet, but the real problem arrived for Poisudonom. Multiple shards were about to hit him, or at least that was what Darian thought. In fact, Poisudonom was going too fast, and some shards were barely able to reach him. The few that reached him weren't able to create a real, effective cut.
Poisudonom, realizing Darian dodged him, turned around while still rolling. Without stopping, he reached for his enemy another time. Darian, who had just landed on the ground, immediately saw the krukin reaching for him again, now even faster.
"I need to jump away!" yelled Darian. "Radial freeze!" Darian created a wall under his feet. Right before Poisudonom was about to destroy it, Darian jumped on top of a building. From there, he immediately jumped on the roof of another building to reach Poisudonom.
As Darian looked in the street where Poisudonom was rolling, he saw himself standing there, waiting for him with an armor. "Mhm, me? Oh right, Liro," whispered Darian, confused. He was only able to find an answer after that.
Darian decided to jump into the street and get ready with a shard. The moment Poisudonom would hit the fake Darian, he'd shoot the shard.
But suddenly, Poisudonom was not getting farther from Darian. In fact, he was simply getting closer. "Huh? Why is it getting closer…?" Darian looked at it confused, before realizing Poisudonom had understood that Darian was a fake and was rolling towards him instead.
'But he simply changed direction like it was nothing, it isn't fair!!' thought Darian. He didn't have enough time to keep charging it, or he would be hit by the spikes.
Still, the shard was strong enough to smash a tank, but the moment it touched Poisudonom's spikes, it simply got stuck into one of them. 'Hey, at least it didn't shatter…' thought Darian as he had to jump away another time, especially because Poisudonom was gaining speed once again.
"Radial freeze!" Darian created a wall another time under him. He jumped onto the building next to him and shot multiple shards towards his enemy. Poisudonom returned on his two feet again. With one hand, he simply destroyed the shards coming towards him; with the other, he tried to remove the shard that was stuck on his spike.
The moment he grabbed it, he looked directly at Darian with an amused look. Darian gasped and realized he had to run away. Poisudonom had the shard in his hand, and it looked like he was about to throw it at extreme speed.
While still looking at Darian, the shard was thrown at the building. The moment the shard pierced the building, it completely fell down, and Darian, on top of it, fell too.
"Ice armor!" Darian created an armor while he was falling down. He was lucky to do that, because Poisudonom swung his fist towards Darian, launching him away. His body destroyed multiple buildings.
Darian was lucky to have the armor; thanks to that, he didn't feel much pain, but he still coughed up some blood the moment his body smashed against one of the houses, which was already weak and fell on his body.
"Time to find the other," said Poisudonom as he turned around, searching for Liro, but for now he was nowhere to be seen.
"I need to go away," whispered Liro. He was on the first floor of a house still near the square. He launched himself outside from the window next to him. The moment he landed on the ground, he immediately went to search for another spot.
While he was running, he created an illusion of Darian in the same spot where the building fell on him. "COME AT ME!" shouted Darian. Poisudonom immediately turned towards it and smiled, amused.
He didn't run; he simply decided to walk slowly towards him. "Why don't you shoot a shard at me?" asked Poisudonom with a smirk on his face. It looked like he already understood that it was an illusion.
'Stupid human… can't you see that the ruins where your friend got buried still look the same as before?' thought Poisudonom as he walked slowly towards Darian. His legs crushed the ruins of the building that fell because of Darian's body.
Poisudonom had noticed that the spot where the building fell on Darian still looked the same. It meant that it was impossible for him to get outside without moving the debris.
Once he got close enough, he launched himself not towards the false Darian, but towards the same spot where the building fell down. With his powerful fist, he smashed the rocks of the building.
After his fist smashed the debris of the building, he hoped to see some blood, but the only thing he found on his hand was some ice. "Huh?" Poisudonom remained confused for a moment before a powerful shard hit him from the back, making him fall down.
"I need to get out of here…" Darian's body was stuck inside the debris of the building. There was a small opening for him to see outside. The moment he looked outside, he saw Poisudonom looking for Liro.
'If we can bait him somehow…' thought Darian as he went outside of the ruins. He decided to create a decoy made of ice of his body so that it looked like he was still there. The moment he positioned everything again, which was only a single rock, he immediately saw himself standing in front of him.
Darian gasped in surprise before laughing softly. "It doesn't matter how many times I see that, I will never get used to it," whispered Darian as he jumped onto a building and waited for Poisudonom to get closer to him.
Now Poisudonom was taken by surprise and fell down because of the powerful shard. He didn't expect that. "ICE ARMOR!!" Darian immediately created an armor only on his right arm. It was big enough that his whole body could get covered by it.
Darian fell onto the enemy's spikes by pressing his right arm on them. His right arm fell perfectly on the spikes, the armor exploded, and the shards were all able to create multiple scratches over Poisudonom's back.
Darian's arm started to bleed a bit. Even if some cuts were still superficial, the moment the shard hit Poisudonom, he moved his hand, trying to grab Darian, who was prepared and created a shard towards his hand, creating a cut on it too. Then Darian decided to jump away.
"I won't let you go away like this!" shouted Poisudonom, annoyed. While Darian was mid-air, the krukin swung his powerful tail towards Darian, who got hit in the stomach.
"Puff!" Darian coughed up some blood before his body smashed against a house.
"Shit!" Darian immediately rolled away because Poisudonom threw himself on top of him. His powerful fist didn't hit Darian, but it smashed the building next to him. As the debris fell down, Poisudonom immediately grabbed one of them with his hand and threw it towards Darian.
Darian created a shard as he tried to block it, but the shard wasn't strong enough and got shattered in half the moment it crashed against the rock, which arrived near Darian and hit him directly in the stomach.
"Argh!" Darian cried in pain, but it wasn't enough. The real worst thing had just arrived. Poisudonom was literally behind the rock. The moment it smashed on Darian's body, Poisudonom started to throw multiple powerful punches towards the poor Darian, who couldn't do anything.
The first punch hit his face. Poisudonom then hit both Darian's right arm and left arm. The moment they got hit, he went for the head again. It looked like Darian would fall in a moment. Poisudonom grabbed his hands together and was about to smash them on Darian's head, but suddenly an armor was created in that place. It was extremely strong, so much that Poisudonom could not get past it.
"Huh?" Poisudonom, confused, tried to smash his hands harder, but the shards, now stronger than before, were able to create cuts all over Poisudonom's skin.
With that, Poisudonom was forced to jump back. The shards weren't stopping. 'How did he find this much strength?' thought the krukin, confused.
'Snowy? Is it because of you?' thought Darian as he was about to fall on one knee. His eyes were slowly closing; he could barely resist anymore. 'I can't lose consciousness yet… I can't fall here,' thought Darian. The moment his eyes closed, he heard a voice.
"You won't fall here." Darian, scared, immediately opened his eyes and found himself floating in a white space.
"Wait… I've already been here," whispered Darian as he remembered the multiple dreams he had. Suddenly, as he looked behind, he found Snowy floating around.
As Darian looked down, he saw that he had something under his feet, something that wasn't there the last time he arrived. Under his feet, there was what looked like snow. It looked like a small terrain of a snowy landscape, something that wasn't there before.
"Snowy?" gasped Darian in surprise. He stretched his arm, trying to reach him, but it looked like Snowy was extremely far from him, even if he was right there in front of him.
"Don't worry, Darian. This fight will be over soon. You cannot fall here. You and I have a mission to complete," said Snowy.
Darian didn't even have time to answer before he found himself back to reality, with two of Snowy's tails on the same spot where the creature fused with him.
