Chapter 1 - Unnamed

In a quiet village in Bengal, three inseparable friends grew up together.

Ayaan was Muslim.

Ritwik was Hindu.

Samuel was Christian.

They studied in the same school, played football in the same field, and celebrated Eid, Durga Puja, and Christmas together. Their families trusted their friendship because it was built on respect and love.

One evening, sitting beside the river, Ritwik said,

"After college, we should travel abroad together."

Samuel laughed. "Let's go somewhere mysterious."

Ayaan smiled. "Then let's choose a place with history."

None of them knew that this small dream would soon turn into something terrifying.A few years later, the three friends arrived in London for higher studies.

London felt magical — old buildings, foggy mornings, red buses, and ancient streets filled with stories. They rented a small apartment near the city center.

One night, while searching online for interesting places to explore, Samuel found something strange.

It was about Raven Hollow House — an abandoned house on the outskirts of London.

The article said:

Lights turn on at midnight.

Strange whispers are heard from inside.

Anyone who stayed there left before dawn.

Ritwik's eyes sparkled with excitement.

"Let's go there!"

Samuel looked unsure.

"People say it's haunted."

Ayaan said calmly,

"Ghost or not, we will face it together."The next day, they took a train toward the countryside. Fog covered the narrow roads. The trees looked twisted, almost like they were watching.

When they reached near the house, an old shopkeeper stopped them.

"You boys are not from here," he said slowly.

"Don't enter that house after sunset."

Ritwik tried to joke, but the old man's serious face made them silent.

"Many years ago," the man continued,

"a family disappeared there without a trace."

A cold wind passed through them.

Still, curiosity was stronger than fear.At the end of a broken path, they saw it.

Raven Hollow House stood alone, tall and dark.

Its windows were shattered.

The gate moved slowly with the wind.

Creeeeeeek…

Samuel whispered, "Maybe we should come back tomorrow."

Ayaan stepped forward.

"No. If we turn back now, fear will follow us forever."

Ritwik pushed the gate open.

As they entered the garden, the door of the house suddenly slammed shut behind them.

BANG!

All three froze.

They looked at each other.

No one spoke.

Inside the house, somewhere in the darkness…

They heard footsteps.

Slow. Heavy. Coming closer. The door of Raven Hollow House slammed shut behind them.

BANG!

Ayaan ran to open it, but it wouldn't move.

Ritwik pushed with all his strength.

Samuel tried calling for help — no signal.

Outside, the fog around London grew thicker.

Inside the house… the footsteps stopped.

The silence became heavier than fear.Suddenly, they heard something different.

Not footsteps.

A soft cry.

Like someone whispering for help.

"Help… me…"

Samuel's voice shook. "That doesn't sound evil."

Ritwik swallowed hard. "Then what is it?"

Ayaan closed his eyes for a moment.

"That sounds like someone trapped."

They followed the sound upstairs. The cloth slowly fell on its own.

In the mirror, they saw the faint image of a young girl.

She wasn't frightening.

She looked sad.

A soft voice echoed in the room:

"My family was accused of something we never did… We were locked inside this house. No one came to save us…"

The friends stood silently.

It wasn't a demon.

It was a restless spirit, waiting for someone to hear her story.Ayaan spoke gently,

"We are here. You are not alone."

Samuel held his cross but spoke kindly,

"We will tell people the truth."

Ritwik added,

"Your story will not be forgotten."

The mirror began to glow softly.

The girl smiled.

Slowly… her image faded away.

The crying stopped.Suddenly the main door downstairs opened by itself.

The fog outside cleared.

Morning sunlight entered the house for the first time in years.

Raven Hollow House no longer felt dark.

It felt peaceful.

The three friends walked out together, changed forever.

They understood something important:

Sometimes the scariest places don't hide monsters…

They hide untold stories. After the strange peace at Raven Hollow House, the three friends tried to forget everything.

Weeks passed quietly in London.

But on 8 November, something unusual happened.

At exactly 11:58 PM, Ayaan's phone suddenly turned on by itself.

A notification appeared:

"Return."

No sender. No number. At the same time, Ritwik and Samuel woke up from sleep.

All three had seen the same dream.

A long hallway.

A ticking clock.

A whisper saying:

"8 November… finish it…"

They looked at each other in silence.

This was not coincidence. The fog was thicker than before as they stood again in front of Raven Hollow House.

The house looked different.

Not broken.

Not dark.

But waiting.

The gate opened slowly… on its own.

Creeeeeek…

Samuel whispered,

"Last time we freed the spirit… so why are we back?"

Ayaan replied,

"Maybe we freed only half the truth."Inside, everything was quiet.

But this time, a new door appeared beneath the staircase.

A basement door.

It had not been there before.

On it was carved:

8 – 11

Ritwik touched the handle.

Ice cold.

They opened it together. In the basement, they found old newspapers dated 8 November, 1983.

The headlines read:

"Family Disappearance Case Closed – No Investigation Found."

Below the papers was a small locked chest.

Inside the chest were letters.

Letters proving the family had been falsely accused by a wealthy landlord who wanted the property.

The truth was buried.

Until now.Suddenly, the air became warm.

A soft light appeared behind them.

The girl's spirit appeared one last time.

This time she was brighter.

Peaceful.

She whispered:

"Thank you… for finishing what was left undone."

The basement walls slowly cracked.

The house began to tremble.

But not violently.

Like something being released. The three friends ran outside.

As they looked back…

Raven Hollow House was no longer dark.

It looked like an ordinary, empty building.

The fear was gone.

The mystery was over.

And they realized something powerful:

Truth is stronger than fear.

Friendship is stronger than darkness.

8 November would always remain the night they ended a forgotten story.

If you want, I can now writeA week after 8 November, life in London felt peaceful again.

Classes resumed.

Friends laughed again.

No more nightmares.

But Ayaan noticed something strange.

Every night at exactly 11:59 PM, his watch stopped for one minute.

Only his watch. One evening, while walking past the empty land where Raven Hollow House once stood, Ritwik felt the ground vibrate softly.

Samuel checked his phone.

A new notification appeared:

"The last door remains."

They looked at each other.

"But the house is gone," Samuel whispered.

Ayaan replied quietly,

"Maybe the house was never the real prison."The next day, they visited an old London archive library.

After hours of searching, they found a hidden record.

Dated: 8 November 1965

It mentioned a secret underground chamber beneath the manor — sealed by authorities after "unexplained events."

There was no mention of 1983.

Which meant…

They had seen the future.

Or a different timeline. That night, they returned to the empty land.

Under moonlight, they searched carefully.

Near an old oak tree, Ritwik found a metal ring buried in the soil.

They pulled it together.

A hidden trapdoor opened beneath the earth.

Cold air rushed out.

Ayaan said softly,

"This is the last door."They climbed down slowly.

At the bottom, they saw the same antique mirror from before.

But this time, it was cracked.

The shadow figure appeared again — darker than before.

It spoke:

"You freed one soul… but awakened another."

The ground trembled slightly.

Samuel stepped forward bravely.

"We are not afraid anymore."

Ritwik added,

"We face it together."

Ayaan closed his eyes and said,

"Darkness only survives where there is division."

The three friends joined hands.

The mirror shattered into dust.

The shadow dissolved into light. The underground chamber slowly filled with warm light.

When they climbed back up, the trapdoor disappeared.

The land looked normal.

Silent.

Calm..

This time, they knew it was truly over..Some houses are haunted by spirits.

Some by secrets.

But the strongest power in any world —

is unity.

And that night, unity won.
