She's off work, and we get to spend the whole day together.

After all, she's the director of the American branch of Seiryu Biotech — a massive Japanese pharmaceutical company with research centers all over the world.
That job eats up an insane amount of her time, but the money more than makes up for it.
Yeah, in case it wasn't obvious, she's filthy rich.
That's why we have a housekeeper, Mrs. Morales. She takes care of everything, including the cooking during the week.
Even so, Veronica's meatloaf always turns out amazing. And since she insists on cooking whenever we get a day together, she always makes the one dish she's actually good at.
