"What the hell happened, Ren?!" Iris Toya exclaims in panic as she sees him return home covered in blood, Yuzu in his arms.
Her long, wavy blonde hair falls over her full chest, completely bare beneath her sheer nightgown.
"I-It was that vampire again, but this time he didn't just make threats. Yuzu's fine, don't worry. She just passed out when she saw the blood — you know how sensitive she is to things like that."
As he talks, Iris takes Yuzu from his arms and carries her to the bedroom, laying her on a large bed. It used to be their parents' room, but since their parents died, the three of them now sleep there together — both for safety and to cope with the pain and loneliness.
Ren drops onto the living room couch and lights a cigarette. Normally Iris would complain — she hates him smoking in the house — but that night she doesn't have the heart to be too strict.
Behind him hangs a happy family photo, framed like a portrait.
