Jigen stared at the soaring purple pillar of chakra with a stunned expression. For a moment, he couldn't process what was happening.
Had the trap he painstakingly arranged just failed like this?

Although Kāma: Stage Two wasn't as powerful as his fully resurrected form, it was still nearly invincible.

Jigen immediately summoned a long chakra black rod and swung it toward Nagi.
Nagi sidestepped calmly.
Then he grabbed the rod with his right hand—
—and crushed it into fragments before Jigen's disbelieving eyes.
While Jigen was still stunned, Nagi kicked him away again.

Jigen slammed into a massive boulder, the tremendous force causing him to spit out blood.

Jigen suddenly shrank his body, planning to use his tiny size and incredible speed to catch Nagi off guard.

Jigen returned to his normal size and engaged Nagi in taijutsu combat.

When the water dragons bit down on him, Jigen wasn't worried at all.
But soon his expression changed.
"What's going on? Why can't I absorb it? Not good!"
Another water dragon tore into him.
Jigen hurried to defend himself, but the ten dragons were incredibly fast and ferocious.
For a moment, he was completely suppressed.
"Yin and Yang… the polarity of creation. The power of life in this world truly is fascinating."
Nagi had used Yin–Yang Release to create natural water.
Even he couldn't help admiring the wonders of life and nature.
Because the water was natural, Jigen couldn't absorb it with Karma.
He could only defend himself using chakra black rods while resisting the relentless attacks.
Nagi raised his right hand.
The ten water dragons gradually converged into one enormous dragon.

Steam filled the battlefield.
Within the mist, a figure slowly appeared.

As the steam cleared, a man appeared.
He had pale skin and gray-white hair. From his head extended a long curved horn resembling a crown.
He had only one eyebrow, positioned above his right eye. His hair, eyebrow, and beard all bore unusual jagged patterns.
A vertical row of tomoe markings ran along his chest and back.
The person standing before Nagi was none other than—
Ōtsutsuki Isshiki.
"You dare…!"
Isshiki's expression was extremely grim.
"Human… you will learn the consequences of angering Ōtsutsuki Isshiki."
This resurrection had been forced.
Using Jigen's body, Isshiki only had a limited lifespan left.
Thinking about it, he realized he was doomed anyway.
Since that was the case—
He might as well go all out.
Isshiki forcibly opened a space–time portal inside Nagi's sealing barrier.
"That chakra… not happening!"

Isshiki hadn't even reacted before a wave of agony shot through his body.
But gritting his teeth through the pain—
He leapt into the portal.
…and disappeared.
