The Sky Ninja were caught completely off guard.
Though some resisted—and possessed advanced weaponry—their reaction speed was far inferior to the Root shinobi.

Nagi stepped before their leader.
The man showed no fear.
"Hmph. I won't tell you anything. Kill me if you want."
"…Very well."
Nagi nodded calmly.
He placed his left hand atop the man's head.
"Fū. Bring ink and paper."
"Yes."
Yamanaka Fū unsealed a scroll, laying out ink and paper with practiced efficiency.
A faint purple glow enveloped Nagi's left hand.
"Deep Mind Layer: Record."
"W–what are you—?!"
The Sky Ninja felt a horrifying sensation—as if something intangible were being forcibly extracted from him.
Meanwhile, Nagi dipped his right finger into the ink and touched the paper.
The ink lifted from his fingertip and began flowing across the page on its own.
After about a minute, Nagi stopped and held the completed sheet before the captive.
At first confused—
The man's eyes widened in terror.
"Leader Shinno… Sky Ninja Village… carrier control systems… How is this possible?! You—!"
Realization dawned.
"You—!"
Nagi replied mildly,
"Isn't this ideal? You achieved your wish to die. I obtained the intelligence I needed. A perfect outcome."
The Sky Ninja broke down completely.
"You… you're despicable—AAARGH!"
Nagi extracted his soul.
The body collapsed lifelessly.
He then turned to the remaining prisoners.
"I will judge your fate based on your past actions. Cooperation improves your odds. Resistance… may produce unpredictable consequences."
The Sky Ninja were utterly horrified.
They had thought silence guaranteed safety.
They hadn't imagined their memories could be forcibly read.
Nagi sensed a signal from another marked Shiranui Kūnai—Kakashi's location.
"To the detention cells. Maximum security. I'll handle their leader."
"Yes, sir."
Nagi vanished once more.

Kakashi, Shikamaru, and the others stood on guard.
Before them—
Shinno had already drawn upon the Zero-Tails' chakra and completed his forbidden technique:

Shinno spun toward the newcomer.
Nagi stepped forward, wearing a fox-faced ANBU mask.
"You brat—how dare you speak so arrogantly?! Right now, I am the strongest in the Shinobi World!"
He lunged forward.
"Bone-Shattering Fist!"
This strike transmitted penetrating shockwaves along the opponent's skeletal structure, spreading destructive pain through connected bones.
Nagi responded instantly.
"Pure Land: Heaven-Piercing Fist."
BOOM!!!
Their fists collided.
Nagi did not budge an inch.
Shinno was blasted backward at terrifying speed, crashing into a stone wall.
"That's impossible!!!"
Shinno leapt back up in disbelief.
"Vitality Fist!"
He condensed dark chakra into a particle-like sphere in his palm and fired it at Nagi.
Nagi didn't even blink.
Channeling pure Yang Release through his body—
He punched forward.

Shinno's entire right arm exploded into fragments of flesh and bone.
The destruction happened so suddenly he didn't even feel pain.
Nagi followed with a kick that sent him flying again.

Moments ago, Shinno's overwhelming aura had suggested a brutal battle ahead.
