Chapter 151: There's Something to be Said About Airheads

"Little Suyan I'm so tired"

Shizuka Marikawa sat on the ground, looking up at Suyan with a pitiful, pleading gaze. She continuously kneaded her plump thighs with both hands, a physical demonstration to prove that she wasn't faking her exhaustion.

"Can't you just use your Nen to conjure my motorcycle?" she whined softly. "Can't you just manifest it and give me a ride?"

Hearing this, Suyan stopped in his tracks. He turned around, walked back over to her, and reached down to pinch the soft flesh of her waist. He rolled his eyes in exasperation. "Shizuka, take a look at the extra weight you've put on. For the past year, you've done nothing but lie around the house without lifting a finger. It's about time you got some proper exercise."

Shizuka blinked her large eyes at him in a daze. "But… just last night, you said that the extra weight on my body felt really nice to hold when we sleep…"

Her innocent rebuttal left Suyan momentarily speechless. Because… he had said exactly that last night. Not only that, but it was a thought that frequently crossed his mind whenever he was rubbing her stomach.

Sensing his silence, Shizuka's inner drama queen instantly possessed her. She put on a ridiculously fake expression of heartbreak. "Do you not love me anymore, Little Suyan? I knew it. Have you finally lost interest in my body? Boohoo…"

"Alright, alright, stop acting." Suyan coughed dryly. He curled his finger and lightly rapped his knuckles against her forehead, interrupting her theatrical performance. He then crouched down in front of her, resting his hands on his hips to signal her to get on. "I really can't handle you. Hurry up and get on."

Seeing this, the fake tears vanished from her face instantly. She closed the distance in two quick steps and let out a cheerful, celebratory cheer. She leaped onto his back, hanging off him completely as she wrapped her full, elastic thighs tightly around his waist. Leaning in, she planted a heavy kiss on his ear.

"I love you the most, Little Suyan~" she declared, her tone entirely devoid of her previous exhaustion. She pumped a fist into the air, radiating the boundless energy of an energetic teenager.

Holding onto the thighs wrapped around his waist and feeling the wonderful, soft sensation pressing against his back, Suyan reached up to touch the spot on his cheek where she had kissed him. He shook his head with a helpless sigh. He truly had no way to deal with this lazy woman. Readjusting his grip, he continued carrying her toward their destination.

Namely, the location of Tamayo—Asakusa.

Originally, Tamayo had required three specific conditions to develop the drug that could turn demons back into humans. First, she needed to cooperate with the protagonist, Tanjiro, who would collect the blood of powerful demons for her research. Given Tanjiro's future encounters, gathering the blood of the Twelve Kizuki wouldn't be an issue. Before the final battle in the Infinity Castle even began, they would have successfully harvested the blood of Lower Rank 5 Rui, Lower Rank 1 Enmu, Upper Rank 6 Daki and Gyutaro, and Upper Rank 4 Hantengu.

While Suyan hadn't collected blood from the Twelve Kizuki, he had something arguably better: the small vial of Muzan's pure blood left over from when he had converted Kamado Kie and the others.

The second condition was Tamayo's collaboration with Kocho Shinobu from the Butterfly Mansion. The two women had shared their medical expertise, and Tamayo had been greatly inspired by Shinobu's insights. However, for this meeting, Suyan had deliberately chosen not to bring Shinobu along.

If the goal was simply to research a cure to revert demons to humans, Shinobu wouldn't have any objections. But Suyan needed Tamayo to do something else. He needed her to research a specific modification: a drug that would completely remove a demon's need to consume human flesh, eliminating their innate cannibalistic desires. If Shinobu, who harbored a bone-deep hatred for all demons, learned of this plan, it might cause unnecessary complications.

That was why he brought Shizuka instead. She was a fully qualified doctor, and even if she wasn't a peerless genius in modern medicine, her knowledge base was still decades ahead of the Taisho era's medical standards. Furthermore, back in the Highschool of the Dead world, Shizuka had provided significant assistance when he and Yuriko Takagi were researching how to convert the zombie virus into a Transmutation Nen ability.

The only problem was that this woman was simply too lazy. She possessed a powerful Emission Nen ability, yet never bothered to develop it. Instead, she just wanted to hole up in Greed Island all day and act all lovey-dovey with him. This assignment was the perfect excuse to have her fill Shinobu's narrative role and give her something productive to do.

As for the final condition—the unique, mutated state of the demonized Nezuko—Suyan didn't have a perfect substitute for that. After all, he couldn't exactly force-feed Muzan's leftover blood to Nezuko just to turn her into a demon. That was completely unnecessary.

When the time was right, he could easily harvest the Blue Spider Lily from the grave of Yoriichi Tsugikuni's wife. Perhaps that mythical flower could replace Nezuko's role in the original timeline? Besides, the rest of the Kamado family, who had been successfully converted into demons, were currently locked up safely next to the Butterfly Mansion. He wondered if they could serve the same purpose despite lacking protagonist plot armor.

"We're here. You can get down now."

After walking for a while with her on his back, they arrived at an open, empty lot. According to the message delivered by the Kasugai Crow, this was the rendezvous point Tamayo had agreed upon.

Shizuka blinked, sliding off Suyan's back with a slightly unfulfilled pout. "Eh? We're here already? I wanted you to carry me a little longer…"

She raised her head to look at their surroundings. A bright moon hung high in the night sky, but the space in front of them was completely desolate. She rested an index finger against her chin, her face a picture of confusion. "Little Suyan, did we come to the wrong place? There's absolutely nothing in front of us."

"No, this is it." Suyan shook his head, instantly rejecting her doubt. The location was undoubtedly correct.

So, this must be the Blood Demon Art of that guy Tamayo successfully turned into a demon with a ridiculously low probability… Yushiro?

Just as the thought crossed his mind, the air in front of them began to shimmer and distort. Seconds later, a grand, luxurious mansion materialized out of thin air.

"Wow! A house just popped out of nowhere! That's so magical!" Shizuka gasped, clutching Suyan's arm in amazement.

"Are you Lord Suyan? I am Tamayo. Welcome to my sanctuary."

Standing at the entrance of the mansion was a breathtakingly beautiful woman radiating an aura of elegant maturity. She stood with her hands gracefully folded over her abdomen, offering them a polite and refined welcome.

"That's me." Suyan nodded in response. "It's a pleasure to finally meet you, Miss Tamayo."

"However, as much as I'd love to continue our chat right now…" He paused, his gaze drifting toward the shadowy perimeter. "There's a little rat hiding in the corner that I need to take care of first."

As soon as his words fell, a faint, muffled sound of sobbing drifted through the air.

Originally, Suyan had only activated En to sense Tamayo's exact location. He hadn't expected to accidentally pick up the aura of a completely different demon lurking nearby. He glanced down at Shizuka, grabbed her by the waist, and pulled her into his arms. Beneath her bewildered gaze, he planted a deep, joyous kiss right on her red lips.

Sure enough, there's a reason airheads are treated like lucky charms in anime.

Shizuka had barely been walking around the Demon Slayer world for a bit, and they had already stumbled across an upper-tier demon possessing a Blood Demon Art—something he hadn't managed to find once since arriving in this world. And not just any demon, either.

It was Upper Rank 4 of the Twelve Kizuki, Hantengu!

This was unbelievably lucky. Most importantly, not only were Hantengu's Blood Demon Arts incredibly interesting to him, but the demon himself was notoriously, pathologically afraid of death. This meant that the success rate of using his Equivalent Exchange ability to trade the demon's life for his Blood Demon Arts was phenomenally high.
