Chapter 1 - The Golden Beam

The Golden Beam

"Alright… I agree. I can return of my own will."

(Of course you can, but in the end, it will require my help, Arthur North. Are you truly ready to begin a new life as a child?)

"Yes…" I answered without hesitation.

The one I had asked for help was six meters taller than me. I trusted him, and even the pillars trusted him.

He lifted his head and said:

"When you start your life over, you will be born as an ordinary person. You won't have your previous powers. You can try… but your new body is weak, and any attempt could cost you dearly."

I wasn't particularly shocked by his words. After a hundred years of experience, I had grown used to facing everything.

I said to him calmly:

"I'm ready."

He smiled at me and asked:

"Don't you want to say goodbye to those you love?"

I hesitated for a moment. His question unsettled me more than I expected.

"Don't worry… perhaps everyone will understand, even without a proper farewell."

"Very well…" he said, beginning to rise slowly.

He raised his hand fully, and a golden beam radiated, illuminating everything around us.

He smiled at me, his hand and head held high, and said:

"Farewell."

Darkness

The darkness was complete, silent, as if it were swallowing everything.

I opened my eyes to a faint light. I was lying on the ground, unable to move. I tried to move… then I realized the truth.

The body I was in… a small child's body, born not long ago, perhaps a month or two. This body had yet to experience the world, but it carried within it a chance to reshape destiny, a chance to rewrite my life.

The darkness around me was no longer an enemy. It was a beginning, a blank page. The golden beam from moments ago was a promise that anything was possible.
