Chapter 95 - Chapter 95: The Firstborn

Poseidon's trident fell into pieces.

For a second, the god of the sea did not move. His eyes remained fixed on the fragments of his weapon, as if his mind refused to accept what had just happened. He had held that trident for eras. With it, he had split seas, sunk islands, and made kings and monsters tremble alike.

And here it was, broken like it was nothing.

Fear arrived before rage.

Even so, Poseidon reacted by pure instinct. He threw a punch directly toward Damon, but before it could touch him, a hand of chakra appeared between them and stopped the blow cold. The god of the sea opened his eyes as he felt that unknown power holding him in place, as if his strength meant nothing.

Without even giving him time to think about it, Damon grabbed him by the hair and wiped the floor with Poseidon, dragging him across the earth as if the lord of the sea weighed nothing before turning him in Zeus's direction. Poseidon tried to resist, his face completely covered in dust and dirt, but his body did not respond fast enough. By the time he managed to regain focus, Damon's hand was already in front of his abdomen, only a few centimeters away from touching him.

It was a short punch, almost ridiculous at first glance. There was no momentum, no distance, and it did not seem to have enough force to move a god, much less one of the Big Three. But the moment Damon's fist touched Poseidon's abdomen, a dry explosion tore through the body of the god of the sea.

The god of the sea released a mouthful of golden ichor and shot toward where Zeus was, crashing directly into him. But before either of them could even let out a groan, Damon dropped from the sky in a dive, his fist raised in front of him as he descended toward the two gods.

The blow landed on both of them, breaking the dimension and sending them falling from the sky of the human world. Several gusts and thunderous crashes sounded as they descended toward what seemed to be a remote island, until they finally impacted with a titanic boom, releasing a shockwave that raised the ocean waves for kilometers, forming tsunamis.

Smoke was everywhere while the two gods let out groans of pain. Poseidon tried to move first, but his body did not respond the way he wanted. The god of the sea gritted his teeth, feeling pain run from his stomach to his back.

Zeus, for his part, coughed up a mouthful of golden ichor, trying to stand with trembling hands.

"No…" he murmured, his voice broken by rage and disbelief. "No, this can't be…"

Damon looked at him for a moment.

Zeus lifted his head, his face covered in ichor and his eyes full of pure hatred.

"I am the KING of the gods!" he shouted, even though his body could barely hold itself up. "The sky belongs to me! Olympus belongs to me! You can't just take—!"

Damon gave him a smile, looking at Zeus as if he had just heard the saddest excuse in the world.

"What can I say? Skill issue bro."

The silence that followed was almost comical.

Poseidon, even in the middle of the pain, opened one eye as if he could not believe Damon had just said that. Zeus stayed completely still, processing the phrase with such deep confusion that Damon almost wanted to laugh again.

Putting that aside, Damon felt several presences appear in Olympus. With a smile, he approached the two gods as his appearance began to change. His hair grew longer and turned red, while the yellow particles disappeared from his body. His clothes changed too, transforming into a completely black suit of armor.

It's time for the main presentation, the now redhead thought as he approached the two gods. Zeus and Poseidon could barely open their eyes, but it was enough for them to recognize him. The red hair, the black clothing, and that heavy presence were not things they could confuse, even if millions of years passed.

It was Damon.

Their older brother.

It was not as if they were that surprised. After everything that had happened, after watching him control the sky, break Poseidon's trident, and treat Zeus's lightning like a borrowed toy, a part of them had already understood. But suspecting it was one thing. Having him in front of them, in his true appearance, was something completely different.

Damon saw the surprise and fear in their eyes, but said nothing. He only leaned down, grabbed both gods by the hair, and lifted them as if they weighed nothing. Zeus tried to move, Poseidon could barely breathe, and Damon looked at them for one more second with a small, cold smile.

"Come on. Olympus is waiting."

And just like that, the three disappeared in a red glow…

Olympus

To say Amphitrite was surprised would be an understatement. The queen of the seas was in complete shock, watching the total destruction of Olympus. There was water everywhere, the nymphs were helping each other, and in the distance, she could see several Olympian gods completely beaten.

The same could be said of other presences that had begun arriving in Olympus. Everyone appeared shocked by the destruction, teleporting in after feeling the disturbances that shook the divine realm. But the moment Damon took Zeus and Poseidon out of Olympus was when the gravity of what was happening became clear to many.

Amphitrite advanced toward the throne room, still trying to understand what the hell had happened. There, she saw Hera, Hestia, and Demeter beside Hephaestus and Athena, all in the middle of a conversation clearly related to the disaster. The only thing she managed to register was a name.

Damon.

And, upon hearing that name, she also saw the surprise on the faces of Athena and Hephaestus.

Both, in their own way, seemed grateful they had not gone against the blond. Athena because she was the goddess of strategy and could clearly see that her chances were zero. Besides, seeing Hestia, Hera, and Demeter standing on the blond's side, there had to be a reason she preferred to understand before even thinking of acting against him.

Hephaestus, for his part, simply felt respect for Damon. The blond had treated his children well and had shown him respect at camp. Unlike many members of his own family, Damon did not seem to have any disgust directed toward the god of the forge, and Hephaestus had come to appreciate that. At that moment, Zeus and the others mattered far less to him.

With that said, Amphitrite was about to ask about that mysterious name and what the hell had happened there.

But before she could get the chance, a massive presence appeared hovering over Olympus, alarming everyone. For an instant, many thought some superior being had arrived to destroy them.

But before they could even register who it was, Olympus fell silent.

The sight before them was something no one in Olympus would ever forget. Damon floated over the sky of Olympus with a serious and clearly annoyed expression, his long red hair and black clothing waving in the wind as his eyes passed over every figure below him. In his hands, held by the hair as if they weighed nothing, were Zeus and Poseidon, both bleeding golden ichor from different parts of their bodies. The king of the sky and the lord of the sea, two of the Big Three, hung from his hands as if they were nothing more than a pair of sacks of potatoes.

Several minor gods swallowed. Some tried to step back, others simply stared, unable to accept what their eyes were seeing. No one in Olympus was used to seeing the Big Three in that state, much less two of them being held in the air by someone many had believed to be a simple blond demigod until recently. But now he stood before them with another appearance, making it clear he was no simple demigod. Though, honestly, that had already been obvious since the beginning of the fight.

Damon looked at all the figures below him and released his power. The pressure fell over Olympus all at once, forcing gods, nymphs, spirits, and divine servants to their knees, unable to remain standing beneath the weight that settled on their shoulders. It was a clear warning. A simple way to make sure no one else tried to throw themselves into a fight they could not win.

"I know all of you have questions and doubts," Damon said, raising his voice so every corner of Olympus could hear him. "And I also know many of you see me as an invader, a champion of Chaos, or a threat sent by Gaea."

His fingers tightened a little more around the hair of Zeus and Poseidon, lifting them enough so everyone could clearly see what had happened to those who had stood in his way.

"But listen well. I am no dog sent to fulfill someone else's whims. I did not come here for your thrones, your temples, or the titles you love to flaunt so much. I did not come to harm Olympus. I came because this pantheon is rotting from the inside, and if you blindly continue down this path, I fear all of you will eventually end up forgotten."

All of Olympus fell silent as Damon lowered his gaze toward the subjects of the pantheon that had once been his home.

"My goal is to protect the people of this pantheon. The gods, spirits, nymphs, servants, and mortals under Olympian rule. Let me make this clear: the Greek pantheon is where I was born and raised, and I will not allow someone to drag it into ruin because of their fear and arrogance."

Damon lifted his head a little higher, his voice firm while everyone remained kneeling under his presence.

"It will not be easy. There will be many changes, some for the better and some for the worse, but I promise you this: from now on, order will be the key throughout the Greek pantheon. And if you follow me, you will no longer be the laughingstock of other pantheons."

His eyes passed over every god, spirit, nymph, and servant still kneeling under his pressure.

"And for those subjects of Olympus who still doubt me or who I am, my name is Damon, God of the Sky, Order, Creation, and Destruction, firstborn of Rhea and Kronos… and the true hero of the Great War against the Titans."

Author's Note (a bit long)

I ain't gonna lie, boys, I can't believe we finally made it here.

As some of you may know, part of this story's content was translated. Originally, none of this was supposed to happen this way. In the original version, the MC still hasn't even revealed himself.

At the beginning, I made a lot of changes. I added fights, techniques, domain usage, and expanded a lot of moments because I honestly didn't like how some things were handled. The fights were almost nonexistent, and a lot of major events happened instantly. The Titan War, for example, was basically only a few paragraphs.

Then we got to Chapter 29, and man… that was where things got complicated. As much as I would have liked to remove the Naruto arc completely, it wasn't originally my idea, and at that time I was still a very new author. I didn't have the confidence yet to change everything as aggressively as I would now.

Still, I made a lot of cuts and tried to make that arc better. If I had kept following that route completely, we would still be in the Naruto arc right now. The MC might not have revealed himself until around Chapters 170–200. Actually, in the original, he never really reveals himself and just stays as Naruto.

But we made it.

At this point, most of the chapters in the story are my own creation, and honestly, those seem to be the ones many of you enjoy the most, even on Patreon. The story gets a lot of hate, but at the same time, a lot of you clearly rock with it, and I appreciate that more than you know.

I'm not saying the story is perfect, nor am I saying I'm a good author. Far from it. But I do know better now than I did when I started. So at some point, I'll probably remake the story before Chapter 29 and remove the connection between Shinto and Naruto completely.

Anyway, thank you to everyone who stayed with the story this far. Just felt like I had to say this as we just reached a big turning point.
