Chapter 8 - Chapter 8: Qianqian Must Work Hard Today

This name immediately made Xu Si realize what was going on. He paused, touched his nose, and felt a little disappointed.

So he was talking about that little girl.

  — —

  Su Xia's nickname is Qianqian.

Her dedicated fan account is called "Qianqian Must Work Hard Today."

This is the account she's used ever since she started liking Lu Jingyao, but she's usually quite busy with work, and aside from logging in to check out the supertopic in her spare time, she doesn't post on Weibo as frequently as she did when she was in school.

However, through Lu Jingyao, she met a fan named Yangyang. They've known each other for about four or five years, but they've never exchanged WeChat or other contact information, only chatting on Weibo when they have time.

She's never publicly mentioned her nickname, Qianqian. Besides her family, the only person most familiar with this name is probably Lu Jingyao.

Before, when she was in school, she didn't have the time or extra money to attend autograph sessions and concerts. Later, after entering the entertainment industry, she had money and time but didn't want to reveal her true identity, so she always used the nickname "Qianqian," wearing a hat and mask, and concealing her eyes with makeup. She basically never missed an event.

Therefore, Lu Jingyao and Xu Si should recognize this old fan.

Sometimes they would give her more time at autograph sessions.

Su Xia looked at the eye-catching words "Did you sleep with Lu Jingyao today?" on her alternate Weibo account's signature and suddenly felt a little embarrassed.

If this were exposed, she moved her fingers to try to change it. At this moment, Xue Ming'an called her softly from the side. Su Xia looked up at him.

Xue Ming'an raised his chin towards the outside of the van.

  "Chen Yiran's agent."

At the corner outside the restaurant, a woman in a business suit was answering the phone.

Her eyebrows and eyes revealed seriousness and sharpness, and she looked like a decisive person.

Su Xia frowned: "Let's go to another venue."

Since Chen Yiran's agent is here, it means she's here too.

She does have a performance at the gala, so her presence here isn't surprising.

The van slowly started moving. Xue Ming'an glanced back, his face a little grim. "It's a small world, really. We didn't need to go. Given all the dirty tricks she's pulled behind our backs, they're the ones who should leave."

"It's fine, I didn't want to eat at that place anyway," Su Xia said.

She turned to look outside, looking somewhat tired. "Besides, it's so late, it's best not to see unlucky people."

Xiao Yi's gossipy nature was practically bursting out of her head.

Xue Ming'an glanced at her. "Want to know?"

Xiao Yi suddenly paused, shaking her head like a rattle-drum. "I don't want to know, not at all."

One of the assistant's professional ethics:

  Don't be too gossipy.

They finished their late-night snack at 1 a.m. Fortunately, the city where they were filming wasn't far from the capital, and they arrived at the hotel just after 3 a.m.

Daily skincare was a must. Su Xia lay on the bed, glanced at the time, and sighed.

She had less than two hours of sleep before filming.

She slowly closed her eyes, then suddenly sat up, grabbed her phone from the bedside table, opened the photo album, and looked at the first picture of her and Lu Jingyao together. Happy and satisfied, she finally went to sleep peacefully.

  Tonight had been quite fruitful.

  ——

Su Xia was the last actor in the entire cast to finish filming.

Amidst thunderous applause, she bowed deeply to express her sincere gratitude, and finally, in front of a huge cake and countless flowers, she took a group photo with the entire crew.
