No one in his family understands him. His father is embarrassed by him, his mother is anxious and helpless, and his younger sister fears him. He cannot even attend job interviews, instead spending his days staring at the sky — this is his daily life. Psychiatrists, mystics, and faith healers have all been consulted. No one can explain him.
But Mustaak knows — he is not crazy. He truly sees what others cannot see.
Muzallal (مظلل — Shadowed): creatures born from human death, anger, and despair. They appear like black smoke and are invisible to ordinary people, but Mustaak can see them clearly.
