We argued back and forth, their stubborn Alpha instincts clashing directly against my anger. They refused to budge, and no matter what I said, they completely shut down the idea of leaving me behind in Shanghai.
As the argument kept going, a cold, hard realization began to settle in my mind.
They were right about one thing—the danger was real. The person who wanted me dead wasn't going to stop. They had been tracking me for three fucking years, and the triplets had just made matters a thousand times worse by brutally killing these assassins in a fit of protective rage. When the mastermind realized this team had failed, they would just send a bigger, deadlier wave of killers after me.
If I stayed here, I would just be waiting to die. The only way to truly survive was to find out who was behind this.
