Irina and Karol nodded their heads upon hearing Helen's words. Both women completely agreed with the test Ryan had set. They understood that they could not trust a person from the church without revealing their true face.
Chloe slowly stood up from the floor, resting her hands on the room's carpet. She looked at everyone present with an expression of great confusion on her face.
Chloe did not expect to come out of that situation alive after refusing to obey a direct order. But little by little, that great confusion changed into an expression of total relief.
Chloe finally understood that she would not receive any painful punishment for her rebellion. She let out a long sigh, feeling that a great weight was disappearing from her shoulders.
