Ming Tao's body stiffened. He had not expected Mira to ask about their cubs so quickly. Up until now, he barely registered that he was a father. He acknowledged that they had been born but he did not acknowledge that they were born and were his cubs.
His mind and entire focus was on his wife who he was worried would lose her life so he paid them no attention. He did not even hold them after birth, he remembered himself yelling at the mid wives to put them away, the ones who nearly killed his wife.
Mira leaned back a little bit and cast him a suspicious glance. "Ming Tao," she called wittily. "Where are my babies?" Mira asked.
Ming Tao's lips formed a wavy line as his head began to palpitate. "They-" he began, thinking of what to say. He did not know where the mid wives had put their babies. He spent his entire time focusing on Mira and staying by her side while ensuring that she had everything she needed. "Uh, I-"
