Akari moved through the storm like a streak of blue lightning.
Every time she disappeared, a flash of light followed. She reappeared somewhere else a moment later, her katana cutting through the abomination's corrupted flesh before she vanished again.
Yet despite her overwhelming speed, her expression remained tense.
'What is this thing?'
She narrowly avoided one of its enormous tentacles. The corrupted flesh brushed against the edge of her kimono.
Hissss!
The fabric instantly began to dissolve.
Akari's eyes narrowed. Even a brief touch is enough to decompose matter.
She looked at her katana.
The blade was still glowing with blue lightning, but small portions of its surface had already begun to deteriorate whenever it came into contact with the creature's body.
'My sword won't last much longer either.'
She clicked her tongue. This was a serious problem. She could feel it clearly now.
