Chapter 82 - "With great power comes great responsibility."

"How could I compare to the boss? Now she's got a real appetite."

"You hardly ever leave your room. What's up? Something going on?"

Liza asked with a smile.

"I'm heading downstairs to find the boss… and maybe grab something to eat while I'm at it."

"Tomorrow morning, I'm planning to take a team to attack that East Lake Villa place."

"There's an awakened over there about as strong as me."

"So either you or the boss should come along."

As the madman spoke, his hands didn't stay idle for a second.

Grabbing here, grabbing there.

Big Waves frowned slightly, but she didn't dare resist.

"The boss is… enjoying herself right now. Don't go disturb her."

"I've got things to take care of too. Let's talk later."

Liza sounded a bit impatient as she turned and pushed open the exhibition hall door.

Julian lowered his head and followed her in with Shinji.

The heavy doors slammed shut behind them.

This place had originally been a traditional wedding exhibition—everything decorated in bright, festive red.

Sedan chairs, rosewood bridal beds, red veils, embroidered undergarments… under normal circumstances, it would've felt rich in culture.

But in a situation like this…

It just gave people chills.

Liza walked over to a large bed.

Before long, she was down to nothing but a red dudou.

"Come here."

She sat on the edge of the bed and crooked her finger at Julian and Shinji.

Julian let out a quiet sigh.

If it were Mafuyu in this scene, it'd probably make anyone's legs go weak.

Too bad Liza was… painfully average. Not a shred of attraction.

Shinji had never seen anything like this before. He glanced awkwardly at Julian.

"Brother Kento… maybe you go first and show me how it's done?"

His voice was weak, his mood clearly off.

"You go first. You're awakened, aren't you?"

"With great power comes great responsibility."

Julian gave him a shove.

Shinji blinked, a bit lost, but his burning desire for revenge pushed him forward toward Liza.

Liza had a way to make him stronger.

Even if it meant sacrificing his body… so what?

"Little Kento, come join us too!"

Liza's gaze lingered more on Julian.

There was something about him—something no one else had—and it drew her in deeply.

Julian shrugged.

Originally, I was planning to let you and Shinji have your fun first… then deal with you.

Since you're in such a hurry, don't blame me.

He walked over and sat on the edge of the bed, his eyes drifting across Liza's pale back.

"Oh my, little Kento, you're so impatient!"

"I'm covered in front, and you're already checking out my back?"

Liza giggled, pleased that she'd caught his attention.

Julian just smiled without saying a word.

I'm looking at your spine.

Figuring out which vertebra to break.

You think I'm admiring your body? Yeah, right.

He reached out, his hand hovering over her back, tracing slowly along her spine.

Hmm… the back of the neck looks good. Crush that, and she'll be paralyzed from the neck down.

Makes interrogation a lot easier later.

Of course, can't use too much force. Kill her outright and that defeats the point.

Liza trembled under his touch.

To her, it felt like Julian couldn't hold himself back anymore, already getting handsy.

Her mood improved instantly.

"Shinji, come over too."

She beckoned him closer.

Just as Shinji was about to sit down, his body suddenly stiffened.

His eyes locked onto something beside the pillow.

A bracelet.

"H-How is this bracelet here?!"

He grabbed it and looked closely.

No mistake.

His wife's name was engraved on it.

What the hell was going on?

"Why is my wife's bracelet here?!"

"I met up with her at home today—we came here together!"

"We haven't been apart since we got here!"

"So how did her bracelet end up on the fourth floor…?"

"Did she come here before…?"

Shinji looked completely lost.

Liza sighed.

They'd finally built up some mood, and this guy just had to start digging.

Fine.

If you want answers, you'll get them.

"Actually… your wife is the boss of the Blood Fang Camp."

The words hit like a bomb.

Even Julian was stunned.

"My wife…?"

"The boss of Blood Fang Camp?"

"No way!"

"She's just an ordinary girl!"

"When those awakened tried to assault her, she couldn't even fight back…"

Shinji's face was full of disbelief.

"What's your wife's name?"

Liza rolled her eyes.

"Chiaki. Why?"

"Chiaki… Blood Fang…"

"That's way too much of a stretch!"

"I don't believe it!"

"My wife told me she was trapped in a hotel for days and only just managed to escape to meet me!"

"How could she be some camp leader?!"

Shinji clutched his hair, unable to accept it.

"Originally, the boss wanted to find a chance to tell you herself."

"But fine, since you're her husband, I'll explain."

"Chiaki was trapped in that hotel. Back then, she survived by eating zombie flesh… and awakened."

"So she built this camp."

"Oh, and you should've heard of me before. I was her coworker at the hotel. My real name is Nina."

Liza shrugged.

Shinji froze for a moment. He vaguely remembered his wife mentioning a coworker named Nina.

"After we built the camp, our strength kept growing."

"And so did our… desires."

"As for me, I like picking handsome newcomers to 'take care of.'"

"As for Boss Chiaki… she likes pretending to be a newbie and getting captured by the awakened on the third floor…"

"Of course, once she's taken there… who ends up tormenting whom is another story."

Liza covered her mouth and laughed.

If we're talking about knowing how to have fun, the boss is on another level.

Plenty of awakened in the camp had experienced it firsthand.

The unlucky ones who figured out the truth all kept quiet, letting the next batch go through the same thing.

"Interesting… interesting my ass!"

"I don't believe it!"

"I don't believe Chiaki would turn into this!"

Shinji was on the verge of losing it.

The sheer amount of information Liza just dumped on him was overwhelming.

"You think this is still the old world?"

"Do you know how Chiaki and I survived those days in the hotel?"

"We ate zombie flesh!"

"We picked through rotting corpses, looking for anything that wasn't completely spoiled—anything we could stomach!"

"After living through that, of course our mindset changed!"

"If we're alive, we might as well enjoy it!"

"If the boss didn't still have even a tiny bit of feeling for you, she wouldn't have brought you here at all."

Liza snorted coldly.

"....."
