Chapter 1 - The Blue Lotus and the Poisonous

Chapter 1:

A World of Illusions

Aroni was a girl of quiet grace and simple dreams. During her university years, she met Abir—the campus heartthrob. With his striking looks, expensive car, and a silver tongue that could charm anyone, Abir was the center of attention. Before long, Aroni fell deeply in love with him. To her, Abir was a prince from a fairy tale, someone who painted her world with vivid colors of romance.

Her best friend, however, was Niloy. Quiet, shy, and deep-eyed, Niloy was always there, like a shadow protecting her from the sun. He loved Aroni with a selfless devotion, but he never uttered a word of it. He knew that in Aroni's eyes, Abir was the only one who shone.

Chapter 2:

The Shattering of Trust

Two years into the relationship, Aroni noticed a change in Abir. He became distant. His phone was always busy, and he never had time to meet. One afternoon, Aroni walked into a small café only to find Abir holding another girl's hand, laughing as if the world belonged to them.

When Aroni confronted him, Abir didn't show a hint of remorse. Instead, he looked at her with cold indifference and said:

"Look, Aroni, life is an adventure. I can't spend my whole life with an ordinary girl like you. You're too emotional, and honestly, it's become a burden."

The ground beneath Aroni's feet seemed to give way. The man she thought was her world had discarded her in a heartbeat. As she walked home through a sudden downpour, blinded by tears, an umbrella appeared over her head. It was Niloy. He didn't ask questions; he didn't offer clichés. He simply walked beside her, shielding her from the storm.

Chapter 3:

The Days of Healing

For the next few months, Aroni retreated into a shell. She felt worthless, believing she was unlovable. It was then that Niloy entered her life like a gentle spring breeze. He would bring her favorite flowers every day and gently nudge her to go out and watch the sunset by the river.

Niloy never said "I love you." Instead, his actions whispered "I am here." One day, Aroni asked him, "Why are you doing all this for me? I'm just a piece of broken glass now."

Niloy smiled a soft, melancholic smile. "When glass breaks, it becomes sharper, Aroni. But when a mirror finally recognizes its true reflection, it becomes more beautiful than ever. I just want to see you whole again."

Chapter 4:

The Return and The Rejection

Unexpectedly, Abir returned. His new flame had left him, and he was lonely. He came to Aroni with pleas for forgiveness, claiming he had made a terrible mistake. Aroni stood frozen for a moment, looking at the man she once adored. She remembered the night he left her crying in the rain.

With a calm and steady voice, she said, "Abir, I'm actually glad you betrayed me. Because if you hadn't, I would never have known that real love isn't about possession—it's about presence. I forgive you, but there is no longer a place for you in my life."

Chapter 5:

A New Beginning

After Abir left, Aroni went to find Niloy. He was sitting under the flaming red petals of a Krishnachura tree, writing in his diary. Aroni playfully snatched the book away. As she flipped through the pages, she saw her name written everywhere, accompanied by small, beautiful sketches of her face.

Aroni looked into Niloy's eyes and asked, "Are you going to keep me trapped in the pages of this diary for the rest of your life? Or will you hold my hand and ask me to watch the sunset with you?"

Niloy's eyes filled with a mixture of shock and pure joy. He took both of her hands in his. There were no grand promises, just a deep, quiet certainty. Aroni realized then that when someone breaks your heart, they don't just leave you alone—they inadvertently show you the path to the person who was meant for you all along.!!
