No. Sienna didn't have the least bit of idea what she was going to do with the business. She was aware that her father would go to any length to take it back from her.
She needed to do something before that.
Maybe I should sell it to someone.
To someone powerful— someone no one dares to cross.
Different thoughts were running through her head while leaving the hospital building when she bumped into someone with full force.
"Hello, beautiful," Tom's chilly voice made her freeze in her tracks. She looked up and found him looking at her with that crazy smirk.
The same one he used in her previous life when he wanted to hit her or bang her head against the wall.
"Hey," She tried to smile, but didn't stop.
"You are running as if I'm a weirdo trying to harm you," His amused voice slowed her speed, but she kept walking.
"Actually, I'm in a rush, Tom," She gave him a tight-lipped smile, and held the strap of the purse.
"I can drop you," He offered, trying to catch up with her, "I assume your husband is not here… and even if he was… He doesn't have a car. Ha-ha."
Sienna didn't like him making fun of her husband, "Even if he doesn't have a car, he loves carrying me around."
"What! Ha-ha. That's not possible!" He held her elbow and forced her not only to stop but also turned her around to face him.
"I really need to go, Tom. I've got an appointment," She wanted to stay away from this man. His smile, his face, his everything repelled her.
"What? You don't like me?" His smirk deepened as she tried to pull free, "What did I do, huh? Or is this your way of getting my attention?"
Huh? Attention? Is he high or something?
"Are you serious, Tom?" Sienna stopped and placed her palms on his chest to push him away, "You'd be the last person I'd waste effort on."
The stupid smile on his face vanished, and in its place appeared a flicker of brutality in his eyes, "Oh, yeah. Is that why you are trying so hard for a job in my office?"
Sienna went completely motionless.
The bastard knew!
Relax, Sienna. Breathe. Breathe.
He can't do shit. Just don't let him get under your skin.
"I am a fresh graduate, Tom. And I'm applying for jobs in different companies," She tried to maintain eye contact with him, something she rarely did in her last life.
She wanted to pat her back for doing that.
Lina would be so proud of her.
"If you think I'm applying for jobs to get laid when I've got the most handsome man at home, then you're really delusional, Tom."
When his face got pale, Sienna knew she had hit a nerve. Tom could never stand another man being praised.
"Make it through your thick skull. If a woman is looking for jobs, then she isn't offering her body. Learn to respect her boundaries."
Tom frowned and then tried to smile again, "So, your mosthandsome husband doesn't want to provide for you? His wife is looking for jobs, and what exactly is he doing? Cooking and doing dishes?"
Before Sienna could shoot back a reply, her peripheral vision caught the familiar black car that was crawling towards her.
That was Hunter's friend's car.
A smile graced her lips, "No, Tom. My husband is much more than that. Yes, he can cook and do dishes and still be more of a man than you'll ever manage to be."
Hunter came out of the driver's seat and approached them, "Hey, sweetheart."
His endearment made her heart flutter. When he got closer and bent to kiss her, she was already on her toes to kiss him back.
However, the moment she sucked in that minty breath, she had already forgotten about her surroundings, including Tom.
When Hunter stepped back, he was grinning ear to ear. He didn't even bother to look at Tom and opened the passenger seat for his wife.
"At your service, sugar."
The car door closed. Sienna left Tom exactly where he belonged.
Behind her!

"We don't know the worth of her plot. I'm still trying to figure out what meds they gave me that made me register my business in her name," George placed his palm on his chest.
This unexplainable pain was making it hard for him to speak. His daughter and wife were standing there like criminals, with their heads bowed.
"Papa…" Ruby whispered, "We can challenge it in the court," She breathed out the words, "She's not the only daughter you have. Your property belongs to both of us."
Ruby might be his own daughter, but right now, he wanted to kill her. All she could think of was herself.
"The business belonged to me!" He pointed his thumb towards his chest, "My business, Ruby. Go and spend your husband's money…" He said curtly and closed his eyes.
Ruby tried to argue, but her mother shot her a warning look, "He is right. If there are any differences between you and your husband, then work on them. You can't expect us to take care of you all your life."
Ruby rolled her eyes. Her parents didn't know that she was about to become a big star in Hollywood.
In her previous life, she got a major breakthrough, and soon all the newspapers and magazines were filled with stories about her talent.
Once she got that status, she wouldn't need anyone's favor.
But how to get into Tom's heart? She thought irritably.
The man wasn't letting her get closer. He rarely stayed home.
She gritted her teeth.
In her previous life, Hunter didn't earn anything, and Tom used to shower her with expensive gifts. He even bought her a house.
Now what would she do without him?
And then the thought that followed sent a chill straight to her bones.
What if… what if… in this life, Tom was planning to shower his affection on Sienna. Because this time, Ruby was his wife, and in her previous life, Tom was least interested in his wife.
Goodness. What will I do? She thought frantically.
