Perfection. The ultimate state of mastery and application in any art.
If your grasp or execution holds even the slightest flaw, that is a 'Leak'.
'No-Leak' means to be leakless. Flawless.
To regard this 'No-Leak' state as an ability, that is the 'Power of No-Leak'.
There are countless paths in this world… to be No-Leak in all of them? Impossible!
But a chosen one… can achieve No-Leak in a specific domain.
Ninjutsu… in that most representative of domains, the one who has attained the Power of No-Leak is — The Great Inari Okami of Fushimi Inari Shrine!
To comprehend any ninjutsu in an instant, and wield it to a god-like degree!
While a master has his specialty, Orochimaru was also a No-Leak master in his own domain of 'Truth'!
But… in a contest of pure ninjutsu, he was no match for the God of Fushimi Inari.
He fought with every ounce of his cunning… buying time, scrambling for survival!
Hoping, as the minutes bled into hours, for a sliver of an opening.
Ten Days Later.
Azure Moon Island.
Three days. That's all that remained until the curse mark, Ayakashi, embedded in Sasuke's flesh would activate.
By all logic, Orochimaru should have been back days ago. He should have been here to install the 'fuse'.
Orochimaru… was nowhere to be found.
This was unprecedented.
The core members gathered, faces grim, to strategize.
Orochimaru's trip to Shikkotsu Forest had one simple, direct purpose: to consult the Great Slug Sage, Katsuyu.
Itachi had a rapport with Katsuyu, though due to compatibility, he never formed a summoning contract. But he had a means of contact.
He produced a special scroll, used his ocular power to inscribe a message directly onto it, formed a seal, and the scroll vanished.
Anxious hours crawled by. Roughly half a day later, a reply from Katsuyu arrived.
It confirmed their worst fears.
"Lord Orochimaru left Shikkotsu Forest… ten days ago."
"What!?" Kabuto's face paled. "Lord Orochimaru, missing for ten full days… something has happened!!"
He turned to leave, to investigate immediately.
"Kabuto! Stop!"
Sasuke's low voice cut through the room.
"Orochimaru's current combat power is on par with Itachi and Nagato. Whatever could make him vanish for ten days is no ordinary threat. We cannot act recklessly!"
"Sasuke is right…" Kabuto pushed his glasses up, hand trembling slightly. "Forgive me. My concern for Lord Orochimaru… clouded my judgment."
He took a steadying breath. "Sasuke. You take the lead."
All eyes turned to the Uchiha.
Sasuke bowed his head, thoughts racing.
He needed a method. A fast one. And that method required finding one person first.
Land of Fire, Kikyō Pass.
Konoha's reconstruction was nearing its end.
In three days, the inauguration ceremony for the Sixth Hokage would be held.
After the cataclysm, after so long adrift, the scattered ninja and citizens of Konoha hungered for Kakashi to lead them. To secure their borders, stabilize their home, and restore the village's former glory.
But… unknown to most, Jonin like Asuma, Might Guy, and Kurenai were pacing like caged animals, sweat beading on their brows.
Because roughly half a month ago, Kakashi, the Hokage-elect, had vanished.
No one knew where he had gone. Or if he was even alive.
For the new Hokage to die before his inauguration, under the eyes of the entire village… the blow to morale would be catastrophic.
So… Konoha's Anbu had been deployed en masse. Their sole mission: find Hatake Kakashi.
Forest.
A three-man team raced through the trees.
Aburame Muta and Hyūga Tokuma, both with exceptional sensory abilities.
Leading them… was a sharp-eyed, formidable kunoichi.
Another search ended in failure. She slammed her fist into a tree trunk in frustration.
"Damn it all! He just vanished right under our noses! If something's happened to Kakashi too… who the hell is left to shoulder Konoha's weight!?"
"We still have three days," said Hyūga Tokuma. "There's still time."
"Captain Anko," Aburame Muta urged, "you haven't slept in five days. Rest. We'll scout the perimeter for supplies."
"Fine. Be quick."
Tokuma went to fetch water. Muta went to forage.
Anko slumped against a thick tree, rubbing her throbbing temples. Exhaustion was a lead weight in her bones.
Rustle. Rustle.
A noise from the canopy above.
A figure in white stood on a high branch.
Anko's eyes snapped up. Every hair on her body stood on end.
"You…!!"
Whoosh—!
She was moving before she finished the thought, her white coat a blur as she put distance between herself and the tree.
From twenty meters away, her body coiled tight, ready to spring.
"Uchiha… Sasuke!!!"
"Kakashi's disappearance… was that your doing!?"
"You say Kakashi is missing too?" Sasuke's brow furrowed.
"Don't play dumb!! You were part of the attack on the village!! Orochimaru put you up to it, didn't he?! Where is he!?!"
The rage boiled over, overpowering the logic that screamed how outmatched she was.
"Hidden Shadow Snake Hands!!!"
Swish—!!!
Multiple serpentine arms shot from her sleeves, fangs bared, striking upward.
"…"
As if such an attack could touch him.
Sasuke's arm moved—a casual, fluid motion. He snatched the snakes.
Crackle.
Chidori current shot through them.
"GYAAAAAAAAAA—!!"
Anko's scream was cut short as her body dissolved into a mound of mud.
A substitution. Sasuke didn't even blink.
Whoosh.
Wind at his back. Anko was there, kunai aimed for his neck.
Sasuke didn't look. Two fingers caught the kunai, twisted it from her grip. A hand-chop, fast as lightning, connected with the side of her neck.
Her eyes rolled back. She went limp, falling from the branch.
Sasuke landed first, catching her over his shoulder.
Kabuto stepped from the shadows.
"Sasuke, you didn't have to trouble yourself with this. I could have handled it."
"Every second counts when it comes to Orochimaru's safety," Sasuke stated flatly. "Change of location. Now."
"Understood."
Kabuto approached. His right eye swirled, the vortex of Futodama forming.
Hyūga Tokuma, sprinting back with a water-skin, saw it all from a kilometer away through his Byakugan.
"That's Uchiha Sasuke! Damn it, Captain Anko…!!"
"…" Sasuke's eyes flickered.
Hum.
In Tokuma's mind, three tomoe swirled and became absolute masters.
The next second… thud. He collapsed, unconscious.
Just noticing the Byakugan's gaze… was enough to trap the observer in a genjutsu.
The sheer, terrifying scale of Sasuke's current ocular power.
A hidden cave.
Sasuke laid Anko down and immediately formed the seals for the Evil Sealing Method.
Zzzzt…!
The cursed mark on the back of her neck flared, then dissolved.
Jūgo, who had been waiting, stepped forward. He channeled the unique properties of his own cursed-mark body into the process.
As Sasuke raised his hand… a white snake was pulled, writhing, from Anko's neck!
The snake's mouth yawned open. Orochimaru, slick with fluid, emerged.
Every cursed mark contained a piece of Orochimaru's will. This was the fastest way to get answers.
"Sasuke-kun. You're here."
The clone's face was grave.
"What happened to your main body?" Sasuke demanded.
The clone's voice was low, filled with a bitter respect. "We've been thoroughly outplayed. In every conceivable way…"
Back in the Labyrinth.
Before the gates of Fushimi Inari Shrine!!
The Dance of the Early Fern, Shikotsumyaku… combined with Explosion Release!
Triggered a chain reaction of devastating blasts!!
Amidst the erupting flames, Orochimaru's body blazed with the Nine-Tails' golden chakra, a half-formed fox-head snarling from his shoulder!
His gaze lifted… to the figure standing atop the shrine's torii gate, the one wearing Anko's face.
—"Enough… It's time to show your true form!!"
"Fufufu… Found out, have you?"
'Inari-Anko' raised a slender hand. She peeled away the flawless disguise—the one even Orochimaru's eyes had failed to penetrate.
The face revealed beneath was…
