Chapter 23 - Second meeting with Haider

He paused slightly.

"He is a true Kuza."

Jaiyog leaned back calmly.

"He possesses the ability to sense things beyond normal perception."

He looked forward again.

"Just like me."

Garayon nodded slowly, taking that in.

"Oh… I see how it is."

Jaiyog glanced at him again.

"But you are better then us. You have something just as dangerous."

Garayon raised an eyebrow.

"Huh? Like what?"

After a moment Jaiyog began explaining,

"You don't just endure damage… your body adapts it too. Your recovery speed is far beyond normal."

Garayon stayed silent, listening.

"It's similar to what steroids do," Jaiyog continued. "They accelerate healing and muscle growth. But in your case… it's natural."

He paused for emphasis.

"Every time you go through a difficult fight, your body rebuilds itself stronger than before."

Garayon's eyes sharpened.

"So… I grow stronger just by surviving?"

"Exactly," Jaiyog replied. "That's why your potential is terrifying."

Garayon smirked slightly.

"Huh… that actually sounds interesting."

After few minutes, Garayon suddenly asked, "And why does Haider want to meet me? And how many branches does your clan have?"

Jaiyog looked ahead.

"You'll understand everything when you meet him."

He then added,

"As for the clan… there are three main branches."

Garayon nodded.

"And Haider wants to create another one?"

"Yes," Jaiyog replied. "A new branch… one that could surpass all others."

Garayon let out a small breath.

"The strongest, huh?.."

Jaiyog nodded.

"And we're almost there."

Garayon stretched his arms.

"Feels like I'm back here after a long time."

They arrived at a quiet Japanese building.

Garayon stepped out of the car and walked forward.

The place was silent, almost too calm.

As he entered deeper, and opened a door, and stepped into where he saw Haider sitting on the ground, reading a book calmly.

Garayon approached him.

"Hey… what is it this time?" he asked casually.

Haider slowly lifted his gaze.

"I have two things to discuss with you, Kim," he said.

Garayon felt a slight tension but kept his composure.

"Alright…but be fast."

Haider closed the book and placed it beside...

"First… I planned to create a new branch of my clan."

Garayon crossed his arms.

"And?"

"For that… I need you and your friends."

Garayon immediately interrupted.

"Me and my friends?"

Haider nodded calmly.

"I'll explain the details later."

Garayon sighed.

"Later again?!… fine. What's the second thing?"

Haider stood up, his presence changed the atmosphere a bit.

"It's about your training."

Garayon focused completely.

"I've acknowledged your talent," Haider continued. "So I'm going to recruit you into my clan."

He paused briefly.

"More specifically… into the strongest branch I intend to build."

Garayon looked like his tension increased.

"For now, I will refine you," Haider added.

Then he said,

"But first… finish your training with others."

Garayon nodded slowly.

"Alright. But I have one question."

Haider looked at him.

"Yeah, say it. "

Garayon frowned slightly.

"Why did you call me here… just to say this?!"

Haider stared at him for a moment,

Then he replied with a slight smile,

"I just wanted to see you."

Garayon blinked.

"Huh…? Okay."

He turned around and walked out, still confused but thoughtful.

Meanwhile…

"Soo… he's Kane, right?" James asked.

"Yep, that's him," Saim replied.

Kane stepped forward confidently.

"And I'm from the Rukuza clan, branch of Kuza clan."

Saim looked confused.

"Rukuza?"

Kane nodded.

"It's one of the branches of the Kuza clan."

Saim frowned.

"You never mentioned that before."

Kane shrugged.

"Remember those soldiers Garayon talked about, from which I was captured by them? They were sent by the Rukuza branch, and the government had nothing to do with it."

James crossed his arms.

"So it's not under control?"

Kane shook his head.

"The Rukuza branch is massive. It's not fully controlled by the main Kuza clan."

After a moment James asked,

"By the way… where's Garayon?"

Saim let out a small sigh.

"That's a long story."

He glanced toward the entrance.

"He'll explain everything when he gets back."
