Chapter 1 - The Devil Who Became Her Hero

The Man Everyone Feared

Everyone in the city feared Zayan Khanna.

They called him ruthless.

Dangerous.

Heartless.

Some called him a criminal mastermind.

Some called him a devil in a tailored suit.

No one called him human.

And he preferred it that way.

Because monsters don't feel pain.

Monsters don't fall in love.

That night, the rain poured heavily over the silent streets.

Inside an abandoned warehouse, chaos echoed through the darkness.

"Sign the papers!" a man shouted.

Aanya Verma's hands trembled, but her voice didn't.

"I would rather die."

Her uncle's men surrounded her. They wanted her father's property. Her signature. Her surrender.

She gave them none.

One of them raised his hand to hit her—

And suddenly…

The warehouse doors burst open.

Heavy footsteps.

Slow. Controlled. Dangerous.

The air changed.

Zayan Khanna walked in.

Black suit. Cold eyes. No expression.

The men froze.

"Boss…" one of them whispered in fear.

Zayan's voice was calm.

"I don't like noise."

Within seconds, chaos turned into silence.

Aanya watched in shock as the same men who threatened her stepped back like frightened children.

Zayan walked toward her.

His eyes scanned her bruised wrist.

"Who touched her?" he asked quietly.

No one answered.

That was enough.

What happened next was swift and merciless.

In less than five minutes, the warehouse was silent again.

Except for the sound of Aanya's uneven breathing.

Zayan removed his coat and placed it over her shoulders.

"Can you walk?" he asked.

She stared at him.

"You're… Zayan Khanna."

"Yes."

"The devil."

A faint smirk appeared on his lips.

"That's what they say."

She should have been afraid.

But she wasn't.

Because the devil had just saved her.

Outside – In the Rain

He opened the car door for her.

"Why did you help me?" she asked.

Zayan looked ahead, not at her.

"Your father once saved my life."

She blinked in surprise.

"I repay debts."

"That's it

He finally turned toward her.

Rain reflected in his dark eyes.

"No," he said softly. "That's not it."

For the first time in years…

Something inside him felt unfamiliar.

Protective.

Possessive.

Dangerous.

The Next Morning

News spread like wildfire.

"Businesswoman Aanya Verma Rescued by Underworld King Zayan Khanna."

Cameras waited outside her house.

Reporters shouted questions.

And the rumors began. Is she his weakness?" is s the devil in love?"

Zayan watched the news from his penthouse.

Weakness?

No.

He didn't believe in love.

He didn't allow attachments.

But when he remembered the fear in her eyes…

His jaw tightened.

Anyone who tries to hurt her again…

Will disappear.

That evening, Aanya received a message:

You think he saved you?

You just became his biggest weakness."

Attached was a picture.

Zayan.

Standing on a rooftop.

With a sniper aimed at him.

Aanya's heart stopped.

For the first time…

The devil needed saving.

And she wasn't going to run.
