Lucifer halted his Nightmare Steed at the top of the grand ice staircase. Elara and Sarah stopped their mounts right behind him. 


The air was so dense with cold magic that the Starfire Aura surrounding Lucifer visibly flickered, struggling to push back the encroaching frost.

"The magic here is pure," Sarah whispered. She clutched her Scepter of Cosmic Alignment, drawing heavily on its +500 Intelligence boost to keep her starlight aura stable. "It is not a spell. It is the breath of the Sovereign."


"It is a hibernation ward," Lucifer said to her.


He dismounted his Nightmare Steed and dismissed the beast. He walked up to the towering sapphire doors.
