Chapter 1 - I'm alive again

Alex Voss died on a Friday afternoon, not by a deadly rare sickness or even by some yandere ex girlfriend. He died by a truck, allow me to explain properly.

Alex POV :

"Man, I'm just saying pineapples don't belong on pizza it's against the law !" A man who appeared to be 5 feet 7 tall who had black hair and dark brown eyes yelled to his friend.

"Mother fucker, what law stops me from having a little bit of variety on the food I pay for with my hard earned money." Another man said yet he had blonde hair and blue eyes he stood somewhere around 6'3 feet tall.

"The Italian law!! You were not approved, Michael " I shouted while sitting back down again. "And I'm paying for this meal today, so no pineapples on my pie today!!"

"So sirs are you ready to order now ?" A waitress said finally happy that they finished their 10 minute long discussion.

"Get us a large PEPPERONI pizza with EXTRA CHEESE ON TOP. " I said boldly emphasizing the ingredients. "Yes sir." The said while leaving.

".... Alex what is your opinion exactly on the Greek Gods? "Michael asked Alex.

"They are selfish, immature, and horny bastards, they might even the worst pantheon there is." I responded back to him he was a museum curator.

"If you could do something about them would you do it. Michael asked me.

"Hell no."

"I beg your finest pardon. "

"They aren't the strongest beings but they are still gods at the end of the century and I'm only human. "I told the reason for my choice.

"I see." Michael responded

"Call me when the pizza arrives, imma get some fresh air."

OUTSIDE THE RESTAURANT:

"Greek Gods, what kinda bullshit is that. Come on be serious Michael, how would I even get there in the first place." I said to myself, shaking my head in exasperation.

BEEB PEEP - PEEP BEEB - PEEP PEEP

Alex looked to his right side and then his left even in front of him. Until a shadow was over him. Above him was a pickup truck.

"How in God's name is this even possible?" I just stood there in exasperation.

SPLAT !!!!

In the void we see a white and bright orb floating around the place, it seems to have a destination in mind as it moved with purpose.

After a few minutes of traveling the soul enters a white portal with no hesitation at all

The white portal swallowed Alex's soul like a gulp of cold air, and then—nothing. No pain, no lingering regret about the pineapple debate or the truck that had turned his Friday into a permanent vacation. Just a gentle, floating sensation, like being carried on warm currents.

Athenian Agora :

The market stall stood as it always did: baskets of crusty barley bread still warm from the clay oven, bundles of rosemary, thyme, oregano, and sage tied with twine, wreaths of white poppies and pale asphodel for offerings or simple beauty. Zoe Agalia Hunt orphaned young and scraping by on what the earth and her hands provided, had learned to keep her head down, her white hair wrapped in a plain scarf to hide it. She sold bread, veggies, flowers and some spices.

She always minded her own business as from a child to a young woman, the only things she truly desired was enough money to live freely and a happy love life.

- But little did Zoe know that would be the last of her problems. It all started with him.

A merchant in fine linen and purple-dyed wool trim that no local trader could afford. Broad-shouldered, bearded, green eyes.

He bought everything—every loaf, every herb, every flower—paying with gold coins . His gaze lingered too long on the escaped strands of silver hair, on the unmarred perfection of her face and arms.

He complimented her calling her 'the most beautiful woman he had ever laid eyes on' . It didn't feel sincere, not one bit at all.

He asked her for her hand to dinner. Zoe refused politely.

He came back the next week and bought everything again. He asked her out to dinner again. , she still refused.

Then the next week, and then the next, and the next week until that last week he appeared.

RANDOM POV:

An elderly woman of about 50 years in age, is seen talking with Zoe. She and Zoe had been living together, the old lady made the bread and helped with the garden that was one of their main sources of income.

"Child it seems like you may have a suitor on your hands, is he nice to you." The lady who was named Sophia, but Zoe called her Sophie.

"Sophie relax, he is not even my type." She stated.

"Then what is this gentleman like, and what is your type even?" Sophia asked Zoe.

"Gentleman isn't really a word to describe him, he feels like one of those guys who think they can get anything they want because of their money." Then she stopped as if thinking about something thing hard.

"My type I guess someone tall, nice, would be able to provide for pur family, be a loving father to our children and would help take care of you as well. That's all I guess." She stated.

"That isn't a list and why should he take care of me too? You need to be a little more selfish every now and then. You are beautiful you could get a king if you wanted to." She said to her as Zoe was actually very beautiful.

"Its my list, you are my family, and if that man can do what I jusy then that fine by me. I should get going to the market, see you later."

One week later:

Sophie was seen walking up a hill as she came back up again from looking for Zoe. It had been a week since Zoe came back from the market and she was worried. Then she the thought back to what some of the people said.

"She left with that new merchant, but she seems scared."

"I thought that was her husband."

"Maybe she got sick of caring for you, she always seemed tired."

That last one made her mad. As she went up the hill she saw her standing in front of her.

A RANDOM POV:

"PUSH! COME ON PUSH CHILD! I CAN SEE THE HEAD! " We see a Sophia helping Zoe with child labor.

One Hour later :

The child was born safely, but the baby had black markings on its body.
