Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: The Miraculous Healing Element

A scream rang out.

Sss!

Two streams of blood spurted from Fang Yu's wrist, it was caused by the aftershock. He had no time to worry about where Sky Eagle Little Nine had gone. He rushed out of the forest and headed straight for the infirmary.

At the Tamed Beast Breeding Base, fights among the wild tamed beasts being raised were common. Caretakers occasionally getting injured was not unusual either.

Therefore, military-run tamed beast breeding bases were all equipped with infirmaries.

The infirmary here was not particular about its patients, both humans and tamed beasts could be treated. And the treatment method was simple. In the age of magic, of course healing was done with Healing Magic.

After quickly arriving at the infirmary, Fang Yu saw the doctor on duty sitting in a chair handling paperwork.

"What happened?" she asked, looking up when she saw someone enter.

"Doctor, my wrist is injured."

"I'm worried it might affect tomorrow's work…"

Fang Yu stepped forward and extended his hand. The lightly bleeding wound was still trembling.

"Let me see." The female doctor's expression remained calm as she glanced at Fang Yu's wrist.

From his clothing, she could tell he was an intern caretaker, likely a student fresh out of school.

Employees like this were the most prone to accidents. She was already used to it.

"I'll treat it simply for you." After speaking, she murmured a soft incantation.

The next second, Fang Yu felt a strange energy slowly rising from the doctor's body.

A holy milky-white glow appeared at her fair fingertips. It shimmered like light, radiating a unique brilliance, yet it also flowed like water, softly swirling. The sacred milky-white radiance gradually gathered in her small palm.

"It'll be fine soon," the doctor said.

As her words fell, she overlapped her hands and placed them over the long wound on Fang Yu's arm.

Very quickly, an itchy sensation spread through him. Fang Yu saw the wound on his wrist being slowly filled by that milky-white glow. It was like lively little spirits of light weaving together his damaged muscle tissue, reconnecting ruptured blood vessels, and replenishing the energy needed to sustain his bodily functions.

Fang Yu inwardly marveled at how miraculous it was.

The wound was healing at a speed visible to the naked eye.

If one were to compare the wound to an open zipper, then the healing process was like someone slowly pulling the zipper closed. After a moment, even the scar of the zipper disappeared, leaving behind smooth, intact skin.

This was the Healing Element!

This was the power of Healing Magic!

At the Basic and Intermediate levels, the vast majority of people Awaken Elemental Magic—Wind, Fire, Water, Ice, Lightning, Light, and Earth, the seven major Elements.

However, there were always special cases among humans. Some Awakened, as their first or second Element, magic outside the Elemental category, such as White Magic, Black Magic, or Dimensional Magic.

The Healing Element was one of the branches under White Magic!

No wonder that intern had said the infirmary at the breeding base was impressive. It truly was.

The doctors at the breeding base were Mages, and rare ones at that, Healing Mages. Other employees injured in accidents had also received treatment here before.

The existence of extraordinary power was not solely harmful to humanity. In fields such as medicine, it could provide tremendous help.

Under the warm nourishment of the healing light, the dizziness Fang Yu had felt earlier also disappeared. Clearly, Healing Magic did not merely repair wounds; to a certain extent, it could also replenish lost blood.

After the treatment ended and the injury was no longer a burden, Fang Yu felt completely refreshed.

"It should be fine now, right?" the doctor asked, looking at him.

"You were making too big a fuss. It was just a minor injury."

When Fang Yu had rushed in earlier with that dramatic expression, she had thought it was something serious In reality, even without treatment, it would have healed on its own after some time.

Still, seeking medical attention promptly when something was wrong was worth acknowledging.

She had seen many Mages and tamed beasts ignore minor injuries, only for them to accumulate and eventually develop into more serious problems.

"I'll be more careful next time. Thank you."

Fang Yu nodded quickly in gratitude.

He could not help but sigh inwardly. Using Healing Magic to mend injuries, this was the treatment method of the breeding base's infirmary.

Even for small wounds, the doctors here preferred using magic. The reason was simple: repeated treatment also increased their proficiency with the skill.

Learning a skill did not mean one could use it skillfully. It often required many repetitions to truly make it one's own.

At the same time, it could significantly shorten the time needed to draw a Star Path.

Some could even achieve Instant Star Path with a single thought.

Through the breeding base infirmary, Fang Yu had his wound treated and witnessed the rare Healing Element skill for the first time. He was in a good mood.

For the rest of the afternoon's work, while everyone else was observing and recording the Sky Eagles, Fang Yu was doing the same. However, he had two additional tasks.

First, he continued studying whether the ice orb within his spiritual world would react to the Snow Wolf King's ice.

The only valuable discovery was that compared to the others, the Snow Wolf King's ice aura was much deeper, as if it did not entirely belong to itself!

After some investigation and asking around, the feedback he received was that the Snow Wolf King's master was having it absorb an Ice Element Spirit Seed to prepare for a breakthrough!

As for a Spirit Seed…

That was a concept exclusive to Elemental Magic. When ordinary people cast spells, Fire Mages produced ordinary flames, Lightning Mages produced ordinary lightning, and Ice Mages produced ordinary ice, none of it carried special effects or particularly overwhelming power.

But once one mastered a Seed.

Setting aside its various special properties, it alone could grant a Mage two to three times the magical power of an average person. Another person's Basic-Tier Level One Ice spell could be equivalent to someone else's Basic-Tier Level Three. The gap was obvious.

However, compared to demons, a Spirit Seed was not something he could afford to bear. Humans could only accommodate a Spirit Seed at the Mid-Tier, unless they were born with an innate talent that allowed them to wield one.

The facts proved that what the Ice Orb wanted to absorb was precisely the power of the Ice Element Spirit Seed.

Now that he understood, but unfortunately, Fang Yu did not dare experiment on the Snow Wolf King anymore. That Ice Spirit Seed was meant for its breakthrough. If it were drained dry, he would never be able to compensate for it…

The second matter was Sky Eagle Little Nine's escape. An entire afternoon of searching by the military breeding base personnel had yielded nothing. Perhaps it had already flown far away, heading toward some unknown land. Hopefully, there would still be a chance to see it again.

It was not until evening.

After finishing his tasks and eating dinner, Fang Yu returned directly to his residence. After washing up, he began meditating.

Before entering meditation, compared to his Ice Element breakthrough, he found himself looking forward even more to the day he would be able to release Space Magic.

Once he became a Space Mage, his options would greatly expand, and his combat power would rise significantly.

"I believe it won't be long before I complete the Basic-Tier Space spell."

Fang Yu muttered to himself. With the Ice Orb, he had a considerable advantage in magical cultivation.

As he meditated, he eventually fell asleep.

Early the next morning, Fang Yu got up and began a new day of work.

He also found time to buy a gift as thanks for the auntie who had helped treat his injury yesterday.

Healing Mages, one had to secure a good connection with them early on.

After that, Fang Yu gradually began adapting to the imposing presence of demons and integrating into the tamed beast breeding base.
