Livia clenched her fists tightly. She couldn't believe that after an entire month of training, Aldus still didn't trust her.
Frustration and anger burned in her chest. Without thinking, she pushed the office door open with force, startling everyone inside—except for Elder Caelum, who had already sensed her presence outside.
"Livia—" Aldus began, shocked, "How long have you been there—"
"You don't trust me?" she cut him off sharply.
Aldus glanced at Florita and Elder Caelum before standing up to approach her, but Livia immediately stepped back.
"I trained for a month, Aldus. The Elders and even Florita herself said I was ready—strong enough to face anyone," her voice trembled with hurt and disappointment, her eyes glistening with unshed tears. "And yet, you still don't trust me?"
Aldus panicked when he saw the pain in her eyes and quickly reached for her hand. Livia tried to pull away, but his grip only tightened.
