Chapter 6 - Chapter 5a : The Physician Mentor

I. The Clinical Core

Earth was no longer the fragile blue marble of Kaelen's past.

It was the Fabrication Era—an advanced civilization where massive orbital rings girdled the planet like the halos of gods.

As Lyra explained, these rings were the physical manifestation of the Mesh-level protection created by Sovereigns to shield Earth from unexpected interstellar attacks.

Mechas patrolled the thermosphere, their ion trails glowing against the black, while space lanes shimmered like silver rivers.

Inside the Veyron Family Tower, the family had descended from their private residence to the medical center.

The center occupied Levels 50 to 60, a sprawling complex of white-and-chrome labs filled with the scent of fresh grass piped in from the external garden terraces.

Kaelen sat on a diagnostic bed in his white bear pajamas, his ocean-blue eyes watching a thick, red thread pulse rhythmically around his wrist.

His mother, Dr. Lyra, sealed the room on Level 55; the locks hissed as the dampening fields engaged, ensuring total privacy.

"It's time you understand the architecture of the Fabricators, Kaelen," she said, her voice dropping the warmth of a mother for the precision of a mentor.

"In this era, power is not just about the control a man has over his Ribbon; it is about how you integrate that soul into the machines."

II. The Echelons of Integration

Lyra extended her hand, a violet thread drifting into the air like a strand of living neon.

"As you climb the levels, your control evolves from your own body into the reach of deep-space fleets."

Levels 1–100: The Thread Phase (Biological Foundation)

Integration: None.

Focus: Nutritional Optimization.

"At your level, Kaelen, the body is too fragile for hardware. We use 'High-Resonance Nutrition' to strengthen your vessel and extend your threads along your meridians."

Levels 101–200: The Strand Phase (Armored Integration)

Integration: 10-Piece Power Armor.

"You will divide your threads into strands. These thin strands protect your organs and connect to precious, bio-compatible metals in your armor. The circuits of these machines are powered directly by your soul."

Levels 201–300: The Loom Phase (The Mecha Phase)

Integration: Mecha.

"Initially, you drive a mecha using controllers, but as you advance, you move to a neural cockpit. Eventually, you fit your Looms directly into the mecha's core to manage its power distribution."

III. The Command Horizon

Levels 301–400: The Weave Phase (The Spacefarers)

Integration: Frigates & Corvettes.

"This is where your father and I reside. We act as the 'Heart' of a ship, weaving our Looms and threads into the engines to fold the very distance between stars."

Levels 401–500: The Net Phase (Fleet Commanders)

Integration: Capital Ships & Cruisers.

"You embed your Net into the hull, gaining Node-to-Node Warp capabilities. You are no longer just a pilot; you are the vessel."

Levels 501–600: The Fabric Phase (The Sovereign Entity)

Integration: Flagships & Space Stations.

"A semi-real, highly intelligent Mecha Butler is formed from your Net to act as your guardian. At this stage, you choose your permanent path: a mobile Battle-Station or a planetary Fortress."

Levels 601–700: The Mesh Phase (The 3D Sovereigns)

Integration: Total Matter-Energy Integration.

"A Level 700 Sovereign is a fabricator of reality. They control the 3D space between worlds by connecting folded layers of Fabric."

IV. The Matrix of Time

Lyra took Kaelen's small hand, her expression turning grave as she looked into his calm eyes.

"But even for the Sovereigns, there is a shadow at Level 700. We have mastered the 3D plane, but the 4th Dimension—Time—remains a wall we cannot breach."

"Level 701 is a ceiling no human has ever touched."

Kaelen looked at the holographic readouts, but he didn't see a "wall."

He saw Linear Algebra.

To the cultivators of this world, the 4th Dimension was a terrifying, mystical mystery, but to him, it was just a higher-dimensional matrix.

It was difficult for the human brain to visualize, but with the right transformation matrices, it was perfectly logical to manipulate.

The "wall" was simply a system of complex differential equations that hadn't been solved yet.

"I understand, Mommy," Kaelen said, his blue eyes as steady as a deep ocean.

He didn't just want to be a ship or a fortress.

He wanted to solve the real-life matrices of the universe, calculating the flow of time itself.

He wasn't just going to live in reality; he was going to calculate the next dimension of it.
