By the time Aiden got done experimenting with the facilities, night had already fallen. Most of the tenants had also retreated to their rooms, except for the few guards.
Yup, guards.
Unlike other facilities, the guard towers had to be erected outside the apartment. Hence, there was no limit to how many towers he could make.
Naturally, he went berserk and built a few too many. Three towers on each side of the building, to be exact. Each tower could have four people assigned to it. Aiden promptly did that and armed them with Remingtons, solar torches, and a sidearm.
Since the towers had to be constructed outside the barrier, Aiden gave the guards a higher salary than other workers. They even have their own vending machines inside the towers, along with a bedroom and toilet.
Essentially, the guards didn't need to leave their posts for any reason. They could stay there and take turns while guarding the building.
