Chapter 20 - 20.

Lesia turned her gaze back toward the source of the noise and jumped out into the air leaving Gabriel behind. He looked at her disappearing figure with kind eyes before turning to a subordinate that appeared nearby.

"Let's go." Gabriel said with the coldness returned in his eyes

Lesia rushed to the source of the sound but sadly didn't find anything. A report from her subordinates told her that the villians suddenly retreated for an unknown reason and felt that something else was happening.

"Maybe that's why Gabriel is here as well." She thought to herself "I'll need to obtain whatever it is before anyone of them."

Lesia looked at a woman in pure white attire that smiled at her kindly as she held an umbrella.

She spoke, " Misty, any thoughts on what events are coming up in Solar City? Underworld included"

"There has been talk about a mysterious item in the underworld that everyone's buzzing about but no one knows the item." Misty told calmly

Lesia frowned, "So why is everyone so interested."

"Because it a renowned underworld auction house that holds a neutral position, provides only the best item and has held its standing for as long time." Misty told with a smile

Lesia sighed up to the moon and felt a wave of helplessness. Misty held out a piece of paper toward her, the eyes of her vice guildmaster and friend's eyes were filled with concern and worry as well as a hint of pity.

She hated the pity even if it came from a good place and forced all the vulnerability she felt down as she smiled back to her.

"Blake's new phone number." Misty said with understanding "Call him, don't but I hope you do."

The woman left her with those words knowing her friend needed some alone time and got to work. Someone else was watching the scene as well but with little interest.

Quinlan looked away without a care and looked back at the tracking app on his phone. He has been following his target for days and found himself the the south and it dreadful warm weather.

"Being a successful, wanted assassin must be hard." Quinlan thought looking through Tyson's file again

He looked another file that was sent by Vladimir with information on the new people entering the city openly and secretly as well as the current events that could attract such a large flow. This only made Quinlan's task even harder with Pioneers and the like sniffing around.

"I need to lay low too so I can't have the 'Reaper of Nox' walking around." Quinlan thought in anguish

His eyes looked back at Lesia and returned to the list of groups in the city. A crazy, doable idea started to form in his mind.

Quinlan muttered, "This might work..."

He disappeared quickly into the rushing masses of evacuating people when Lesia sharply turned his way. He was fine-tuning his plan in his thoughts but first Quinlan needed an identity to use while in Solar City.

Quinlan slipped into the store and the people inside looked up at him with fearful gaze. Quinlan wanted to shrink at the intense gaze but he held his head high like the Nox pure blood he was and walked to the front.

"Re...Reaper..." the clerk stammered

Quinlan shushed, "I was never here. I need a new face, please arrange it."

"Thi...this way." the clerk bowed

Quinlan eased into work mode while lead downstairs to a secret hallway. The people began to shake at the sight of him but it didn't register to him anymore and looked at the pair in front of him.

"As I stated before, I need a new face while I'm Solar City." he said coldly in an ordering tone

The woman nodded, "Understood."

"Please select from these." the older woman said

After several hours of back and forth Quinlan was satisfied with the outcome while the pair of ladies seemed drained. He left the store quietly.

At that moment Lesia was in here hotel room looking at Blake's new phone number. The paper felt so heavy and she was sighing again.

"You're sighing again." Gabriel's voice echoed in

Lesia spoke hiding any emotion she felt, "Leave Gabriel. Book another room, I would like to be alone."

"I know, dear. I asked the kitchen to bring up some strawberry ice cream for you along with dinner, you haven't eaten. The ice cream only come after the food, please enjoy." he said

Footsteps sounded walking away. He knew her so well, it used to be so sweet but a hint of bitterness colored over her. What was she supposed to do to pull her family together.

She opened a folder nearby. It contained information about Blake and how he was doing.

"A mother's heart is a traitor sometimes." she thought with a weak smile

Blake was doing well in the underworld. He obtained the epithet of 'Guillotine of Nox' and she hated to admit that it was a good development since that side worked differently compared to the Pioneer side.

"He's not being bullied at least." she thought with complicated emotions in her heart

Misty forwarded invitation for the auction house called: Golden Wolf. They allowed all sorts of people from all sides of work and had rules that were implemented harshly without compromise. The item they've kept secret was protected intensely except during the bidding period and when in the possession of the winner.

"They're be crazy to attack during the bidding so we'll need to pay attention to the winner....or win the item." Lesia thought looking out her window to the moon "A few more hours until the auction starts."
