Vladimir and Valentine entered the door and we face-to-face with the leader of the ten guilds with government officials and reporters.
"Well isn't this interesting." Valentine commented
Mr. Creed smiled, "I've wanted to meet the both of you for a while. It's a pleasure, I'm Mr. Creed the leader of the government-owned guild Glory."
"Pleasure. We are here to sue Xavier McVon and the Police of Nightfall City for the wrongful conduct of our dear brother Blake." Vladimir spoke as he sat down on his chair
Gabriel asked, "Is this some sort of attack on me for our previous situation? Don't be emotional."
"Don't flatter yourself, Gabriel." Valentine smiled "And what previous situation would you be talking about?"
Gabriel spoke, "I'm willing to let everything slide if you join my ranks as subordinates."
"Sadly we're ungrateful wolves who will tear you down from the inside. Be careful we might start taking notice of you." Vladimir smiled
Lesia spoke, "It seems the three of you know something we don't?"
"No." they answered with varying expression
Mr. Creed spoke, "You already obtained the port. The matter is finished and we request the item you took from the research department. Please understand we're using it along with several others to understand rifts in hopes of closing them forever."
"Gabriel, you little fox. You haven't told them yet, how greedy." Valentine smiled
Golden light erupted from Gabriel's body and the teen took it on without flinching while releasing a wave of pressure as well. Vladimir ignored the unnecessary agrument with his brother and Gabriel.
"I have a lot of money Mr. Creed. So I gave it out to several media across the continent who will send out a specific news using different channels personally I find social media the most challenging to erase information-" Vladimir told
Mr. Creed frowned releasing his pressure, "Are you threatening me, Mr. Nox?!"
"No. I'm giving you a choice right now, give Nox Nightfall city and several areas around it as a bride to silence our greedy hearts." Vladimir told "Who knows what article I've prepared let's not find out."
Lesia asked, "My husband is also obsessed with having land in his name or the family's. What are the three of you up to."
"Lesia." Gabriel frowned "It doesn't concern you at the moment right now."
Valentine smiled, "He's right and we know you're aiming for someone else as well Gabriel. Sent you cute hunting dogs after them, I did some digging and I was shocked how the research nut or potion master didn't grab this prey."
Gabriel's aura cooled, he looked at his son and gave a cold smile, "How do you know about my little rabbit."
Valentine's eyes glowed and the sound of feet running as the stumbled occasionally probably injured. He saw the glimpse of a lab coat, someone holding a briefcase and several black clad people following him with the crest of Golden Crown on their attire.
"A little birdie told me....this ones too much for you. Give it to me." Valentine smiled
Gabriel told, "Then catch. If you do, he's yours and if I do he's mine. You've been out for a while, had a few wins and now you think you can play with the big league. But we've been around for a while, just keep your heads down as usual."
"From your reaction this ones he real important." Valentine smiled his madness leaking out at the thought of finding rare talent
Gabriel smiled, "Good luck."
"Since you have such a good relationship may I have my son back." Lesia spat out maintianing her composure at the sickening situation
Gabriel interrupted, "He's yours. You caught him or think of it as a welcome back gift since I have no use for problematic individuals."
"Thanks. You've been looking for an ancient relic, we have it and we'll give it to as a return gift." Vladimir said glancing at him
Lesia slapped Gabriel as the paper floated onto his table. Her husband let her, not allowed his ability coat him and a bruise began to form. She looked at her hand in surprise as though it weren't part of her hand and turned back to the man she married but didn't understand anymore.
Gabriel spoke, "It will make sense soon. We don't need Blake trust me-"
"I don't anymore." she spoke
The ground shook violently and someone spoke int Mr. Creed's earpiece about a villain attack. The Pioneers shood upa dn several thick vines closed up the door sepreating out to cover the four walls of the building.
"Mr. Nox!" Mr. Creed shouted
Valentine sighed, "We gave you enough time to time and even engaged with light conversation with Gabriel, a heartless dictator."
"Now, I'm threatening you." Vladimir spoke "If you don't start signing some papers, Val will trap everybody in this building in here. Consider this carefully Mr. Creed since you are under atttack from Villain powerhouse because I'm holding the city hostage."
Everyone watching the broadcast felt their blood ran cold because the place the brothers had the meeting was Pioneer Headquarters of the city during break hours when most Pioneers regardless of guilds came to use the facilities to rest before their next missions are finalized.
"Tic Toc. We have a lot of time on our hands, do you?" Valentine smiled
Xavier looked at his phone with worry as he rushed through the streets luckily he was suspended from Pioneer and guild work because of the mishap in Nightfall so he could assist. He saw a familiar person among the fleeing people.
"Dexter. I've been looking for you ever since the Nightfall incident. You just disappea-" Xavier spoke with relief in his heart
A rifle was jabbed into his stomach and a sharp pain erupted throughout his body. Dean's identical brother looked down at him with hatred in his eyes.
"You....you led my brother to his grave. I heard what the Nox family said, Xav, you could have rejected the challenge and explained everything. But NO!" Dexter roared "I will make you suffer."
He fired seven bullets into the air, destroyed a high rising building and it toppled down. Xavier looked up at his friend as horror and released a wave of ice to push him away as bloody tears ran down his face.
"I won't let you tarnish Dean's legacy. He protected this town and he would never want you to become a villian for his sake...." Xavier spoke
Dexter answered, "I know but this is the only way to make the pain a little better."
An ice wall blocked the incoming bullets and it stretched out. He made ice spears and held one.
"I'll stop you, Dexter. Even if it makes the pain in me worse." Xavier told as he advanced
