"Now that we are couple," Marcus said. "That means I don't have to return to the inn. I can sleep here with you."
"Eh…" Elaina was surprised to hear that. Well, she didn't expect it. Everything happened so fast but this was her fault too. She suggested marriage and Marcus bit back.
And it's only natural for a couple to stay on one roof but again, this is too sudden. She hasn't made any preparations.
"Uhm, my bed is small, I don't think we will fit together," she replied.
Marcus laughed, as she actually considered sleeping with him. Well, everything that happened, this is just normal.
"Let me see the bedroom of my wife," Marcus teased.
Elaina hesitated for a second, still flustered, but she turned anyway.
"It's upstairs," she said.
Marcus stood up without hesitation.
"Lead the way."
