Marcus's hand cupped the side of her face, his thumb brushing her cheek.
She leaned into it, her breath coming quicker now, warm puffs against his lips.
"Marcus..." The word was a whisper, barely audible, but it sent a jolt straight through him.
His other hand settled on her waist, fingers splaying over the fabric of her dirndl, feeling the curve beneath.
He kissed her again. Not soft this time. His mouth claimed hers with hunger, tongues sliding together in a messy, urgent tangle. Elaina gasped into it, her hands fisting in his shirt, pulling him closer until their bodies pressed flush on the sofa. The wood creaked faintly under their shifting weight, the cushions dipping as she swung one leg over his lap, straddling him without breaking the kiss.
