The entire Luminara League Championship stadium was filled with anticipation. After an incredible series of battles, the score had shifted dramatically.

The referee raised his flags.
"Trainer Mira, send out your next Pokémon!"
Mira smiled confidently.
"You've battled brilliantly, Elior. But now... meet my aerial ace!"
She threw her Poké Ball. A flash of brilliant light filled the stadium. Noivern emerged with a deafening cry, soaring high above the battlefield. Its powerful wings stirred up fierce winds. The audience erupted in cheers.
"Noivern! What an incredible Pokémon!"
Elior nodded.
"Thundrion! You're up!"
Thundrion burst onto the field, electricity crackling around its body. Normally, an Electric-type would have a strong advantage against a Flying-type. But Mira wasn't worried. She knew exactly how Noivern fought.
The referee lowered his flags.
"Battle... Begin!"
Mira: "Boomburst!"
Noivern spread its wings. A massive wave of sound exploded across the battlefield. The shockwave was so powerful that it cracked the arena floor.
Elior: "Protect!"
A green barrier formed around Thundrion. The barrier held for only a moment before shattering under the overwhelming force. Thundrion slid backward, already taking damage.
"Air Slash!"
Noivern fired a barrage of razor-sharp wind blades from above.
"Thunderbolt!"
Thundrion answered with a powerful bolt of electricity. But Noivern twisted gracefully through the air, avoiding the attack with incredible agility. The crowd applauded.
Noivern suddenly disappeared.
"Where did it go?" the commentator shouted.
It reappeared behind Thundrion.
"Dragon Claw!"
Its glowing claws struck before Thundrion could react.
CRASH!
Thundrion crashed across the battlefield.
"Get up!"
Thundrion struggled to its feet. Its body sparked with electricity.
"Discharge!"
A field of lightning burst outward in every direction. Noivern was forced to gain altitude.
"Now! Thunder!"
Dark clouds gathered above the stadium.
A bolt of lightning came crashing down. This time it connected. The audience roared. Smoke covered the battlefield.
When the smoke cleared...Noivern was still flying. Although injured, it remained steady.
Mira smiled.
"Excellent... but not enough. Boomburst!"
Another devastating shockwave exploded outward.
"Wild Charge!"
Thundrion charged forward wrapped in electricity. The two attacks collided.
BOOOOOOM!!
A massive explosion shook the arena.
As the smoke cleared...Thundrion struggled to remain standing. It took one step...Then another...Before collapsing.
THUD...
The referee immediately raised the red flag.
"Thundrion is unable to battle!"
The crowd applauded both Pokémon.
Elior looked at his remaining Poké Balls.
He knew Noivern had already taken damage. Now was the time to finish it.
"Infernarx! Let's go!"
Infernarx entered the battlefield to a thunderous ovation. Infernarx roared confidently.
The battle began at a furious pace.
Elior: "Flamethrower!"
A river of flames shot into the sky.
Mira: "Air Slash!"
Noivern's blades of wind split the flames apart.
Infernarx: "Dragon Claw!"
Infernarx leaped into the air. Its claws glowed bright green.
Noivern: "Dragon Pulse!"
The attacks collided. Neither Pokémon backed down.
The two dragons exchanged blow after blow. Flames lit the sky. Shockwaves echoed through the stadium. The audience could barely keep up with their speed.
Mira took a deep breath.
"Noivern...Give it everything! Draco Meteor!"
The sky darkened. Glowing meteors rained down toward Infernarx.
Elior: "Flare Blitz!"
Infernarx charged through the falling meteors, engulfed in flames.
It broke through several...But one meteor struck its shoulder. Another exploded directly behind it. Its momentum faltered. Noivern seized the opening.
"Dragon Pulse!"
The attack struck Infernarx head-on.
A massive explosion engulfed the battlefield. When the smoke finally cleared...Infernarx was on one knee.
It tried to rise.Its muscles trembled.
Then...It collapsed.
THUD...
The referee raised the red flag.
"Infernarx is unable to battle!"
The stadium fell silent before erupting into applause. Noivern had defeated both Thundrion and Infernarx, turning the entire battle around.

The stadium was completely silent.
Elior slowly reached for another PokéBall.
He looked toward the battlefield where Noivern hovered, breathing heavily after two exhausting victories. He smiled confidently.
"You've done enough, Infernarx."
Then he threw his next Poké Ball.
A brilliant blue light burst onto the battlefield. Lucario landed in a fighting stance, its Aura sensors twitching as it locked eyes with Noivern.
The crowd instantly rose to its feet.
Everyone remembered Lucario's Golden Resonance from the previous round.
The battle was about to reach its climax.
