Chapter 45 - Volume 3 – Chapter 6: Guardians of History – Triple Quests

December 2041 – the winter solstice approached, and with it, a surge in the Eternal Bridge's energy. The Unity Spire's nexus chamber hummed like a living heart, rifts flickering open more frequently—not as threats, but as invitations to new realms. The family council had decided: the younger generation would take their turns, each rift chosen by affinity. Durin Thorne-Forge (now 10, Chaos Forge-Dwarf Hybrid, Forge Builder Level 8), Gorak Thorne-Tusk (8, Chaos Orc-Hybrid, Roar Berserker Level 6), and Nixie Thorne-Gear (6, Chaos Goblin-Hybrid, Gear Tinker Level 5) were ready. To protect them, Ahmed summoned new mentors from world history—figures of innovation, courage, and spirit, amplified by the Legend Quill and chaos mana.

Ahmed stood in the mandala, Quill raised. "History's guardians—come forth! Protect our legacy in realms unknown."

The gate opened.

Alexander the Great (356–323 BCE)—Macedonian conqueror, strategist supreme. Skill: Empire Rally (unite forces, tactical genius).

Joan of Arc (1412–1431)—French warrior saint, divine visions leader. Skill: Holy Charge (inspire faith, unbreakable will).

Leonardo da Vinci (1452–1519)—Renaissance polymath, inventor/artist. Skill: Invention Spark (tech fusion, creative insight).

Genghis Khan (1162–1227)—Mongol empire builder, unifier of tribes. Skill: Horde Command (mass coordination, relentless drive).

Hatshepsut (1507–1458 BCE)—Egyptian pharaoh queen, builder/leader. Skill: Monument Weave (endurance constructs).

Sun Tzu (544–496 BCE)—Chinese strategist, Art of War author. Skill: War Wisdom (tactical deception).

Cleopatra (69–30 BCE)—Egyptian queen, diplomat/seducer. Skill: Alliance Veil (negotiation fusion).

Saladin (1137–1193)—Ayyubid sultan, chivalrous warrior. Skill: Honorable Stand (mercy in battle).

Each mentor bowed, eyes on the children.

Ahmed: "Guard them. Teach them. Bring them home."

Durin's Quest – Warhammer 40,000 Realm

Durin Thorne-Forge gripped his tiny hammer, eyes wide at the rift edged in grimdark iron and blood-red. "This one feels… heavy. Like forging in a storm."

From Durin's perspective:

"It smells like metal and fire. Like Abba's stories of dwarven forges, but bigger. Scarier. But I'm a builder. I'll make stuff to fix it."

His mentors: Leonardo da Vinci + Hatshepsut + Sun Tzu.

Da Vinci adjusted his robes, quill ready. "Young forge-master, invention is the key to any war. Let us build wonders from wreckage."

Hatshepsut placed a hand on his shoulder. "Endure like the pyramids. Build to last eternity."

Sun Tzu: "Know the enemy. Deceive to conquer."

Durin nodded. "Build smart. Build strong."

He stepped through.

Into hell.

A barren wasteland—red dust, ruined hives, distant bolter fire echoing. Orks roared in the distance; Space Marines in power armor marched, chainswords revving.

From Durin's view: "Everything's broken. But I can fix it. Metal everywhere—perfect for forging."

A squad of Ultramarines spotted him—bolters raised.

"Xenos child? Or mutant?"

Da Vinci appeared—spectral, calm. "Invent peace. Show them your hammer is a tool, not weapon."

Durin raised his hands. "I'm Durin! From the bridge! Here to help!"

An ork mob charged—Waaagh! cry shaking the ground.

Durin hammered the earth—Forge Builder + chaos mana—raising a sand-metal wall.

Hatshepsut wove endurance—wall hardening like pyramid stone.

Sun Tzu deceived—illusions (from Quill echo) of flanking marines confusing orks.

Ultramarines fired—bolters thundering.

Durin forged a gadget—Da Vinci guiding: bolt-deflecting shield from scrap.

The mob shattered.

The marine captain lowered his bolter. "You fight like an artisan of the Omnissiah. Who sent you?"

Durin grinned. "Legends. And family."

He sealed a small rift leaking ork spores—hammer + Verse Call reciting Shakir's resilience.

Returned triumphant—with a scrap bolter toy for Nixie.

Gorak's Quest – Yu Yu Hakusho Realm

Gorak Thorne-Tusk (8, tusked orc-hybrid, Roar Berserker Level 6) stared at the rift edged in spirit energy and demonic red. "This one roars back. I like it."

From Gorak's perspective:

"Smells like fights. Big fights. My tusks itch. I wanna roar loud!"

His mentors: Joan of Arc + Genghis Khan + Saladin.

Joan: "Fight with divine purpose, little warrior. Courage is your armor."

Genghis: "Unite the roar. Lead like a khan—relentless."

Saladin: "Honor in battle. Mercy wins wars."

Gorak nodded. "Roar with heart. Smash with honor."

He stepped through.

Into a demon world tournament arena—crowds roaring, fighters clashing with spirit energy.

From Gorak's view: "Big crowd! Like Eid but with punches. I fit right in."

A demon—horned, muscled—spotted him.

"Kid? You in the wrong ring. This is for demons!"

Gorak roared—tiny but thunderous—shaking the ground.

Joan appeared—armor gleaming. "Charge with faith!"

Gorak rushed—tusks forward, enhanced by Genghis's Horde Command—aura boosting nearby fighters (confused but empowered).

Saladin's Honorable Stand made his roar merciful—stunning without killing.

The demon yielded. "You're no ordinary kid."

A rift opened in the arena—Riftborn demons, twisted yōkai shadows.

Gorak roared: Waris Shah defiance infused—breaking chains.

Mentors fought: Joan holy charges, Genghis horde rallies, Saladin honorable stands.

Gorak sealed the rift—roar + chaos mana, reciting Dulla's rebel cry.

Returned with a demon talisman toy for Bruno.

Nixie's Quest – Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann Realm

Nixie Thorne-Gear (6, goblin-hybrid, Gear Tinker Level 5) tinkered with a twig at the rift edged in drill-spirals and mecha-fire.

From Nixie's perspective:

"Shiny machines! Gears! Big robots? I wanna build one!"

Her mentors: Leonardo da Vinci + Tipu Sultan + Cleopatra.

Da Vinci: "Invent, little gear-heart. Wonders from wreckage."

Tipu: "Rocket the impossible. Innovate to conquer."

Cleopatra: "Weave alliances. Charm the machine."

Nixie nodded. "Build big. Boom fun."

She stepped through.

Into a desert wasteland—mecha gunmen stomping, drills piercing sky.

From Nixie's view: "Robots! Giant gears! Heaven!"

Simon and Kamina (with Gurren Lagann) spotted her—drill key gleaming.

"A kid? In Beastman territory?"

Nixie held up a twig. "I build! Gear friend?"

A rift opened—Riftborn mecha, twisted drill-shadows.

Nixie tinkered scrap into a mini-drill—Da Vinci guiding invention, Tipu rocketing it, Cleopatra weaving alliance with Simon/Kamina.

They fused—Gurren Lagann + chaos gear-drill piercing the rift core.

Nixie sealed it—tinkering + Verse Call reciting Iqbal's khudi.

Returned with a drill-key toy for Capro.

The chapter closed on three children returning—stories shared, family prouder, bridge stronger.
