Chapter 151 - Chapter One hundred and Fifty-One

Meanwhile, at the Njemanze Villa, Michael sprawled on his king-sized bed, haven of sumptuous comfort. Layers of Egyptian cotton sheets, the colour of fresh snow, cascaded down the four-poster frame, each corner adorned with hand-stitched silk bolsters the colour of amethyst. Contemplating how to purchase comprehensive insurance for every part of Chioma's body, the plush comforter, usually a source of comfort, seemed to offer little solace tonight. Moonlight streamed through the French doors, casting an ethereal glow on the opulent furnishings of his luxurious room. He wanted to protect her from any form of harm and bullying. He held a sleek, silver tablet in his hand, the newsfeed scrolling idly as his mind churned. Occasionally, his gaze would flicker to his laptop screen on his exquisite mother-of-pearl coffee table, where a complex insurance company website awaited his exploration. Michael's love for Chioma was evident, driving his determination to take care of her.

Michael wanted to protect Chioma from any form of harm. He envisioned a comprehensive shield, one that would guard her from the slings and arrows of misfortune, both big and small. While it wasn't unusual for celebrities to insure specific body parts, they often did it for attention but Michael's intentions were different. Michael was certain Chioma wouldn't agree to this. She wasn't famous, so she would likely decline the insurance. However, he was a man who wouldn't take no for an answer. His motivation wasn't attention-seeking; he genuinely wanted to provide strong protection for his woman. That meant, no matter what happened to Chioma, she would be covered by insurance. If she were injured, whether by human actions or natural causes, the insurance company would still provide compensation.

To Michael, Chioma was the most precious person in the world, and he was willing to do anything to safeguard her. She was the first person who made him do things without expecting anything in return.

He was so rich that the cost didn't matter. All he wanted was to create an impenetrable shield around her, a fortress against any potential harm. He wouldn't let anything, not a twisted ankle, not a freak accident, not even the cruel twists of fate, touch her.
