At Njemanze Vila, a gentle breeze ruffled Patricia's hair as she sat outside in the garden, the clinking of her teacup the only sound against the drowsy afternoon hum. Having just woken up from a nap, she felt a bit bored staying inside. A prickle of boredom snaked up her spine as she watched a lazy butterfly flit between the rose bushes, its wings a blur of colour against the vibrant blooms. Just then, a flurry of movement caught her eye. Jessica rounded the corner of the house, her steps light and hurried. Her dark eyes sparkled with excitement, sending a jolt of anticipation through Patricia as she approached.
'I have gathered a lot of evidence that will make Michael leave that woman for good,' Jessica said breathlessly, sitting down beside Patricia and sliding her hand into Patricia's. 'It took me a long time because Chioma was cunning enough never to leave a trace. She was dating both Michael and Felix.' Jessica sported a fitting pair of Mother Jeans and a pink cashmere crewneck sweater, completing the look with a pink handbag and mini wedge boots.
'So, she's using two powerful men at the same time?' Patricia asked, looking up. Jessica held up pictures that showed intimate moments between Felix and Chioma. 'That girl must be a promiscuous woman.' Patricia was wearing a brown silk top, complemented by drop diamond earrings and a diamond necklace.
'She's definitely a promiscuous woman,' Jessica agreed.
'I had sent her flowers when she was in the hospital, but I didn't get any reaction from her. It made me doubt if she was the woman my son is shamelessly involved with. But now that you have this evidence, I don't think I made a mistake sending her those tormenting flowers with the name Patrick... What do you plan to do to her?' Patricia enquired.
'I intend to expose her, for sure,' Jessica chuckled. 'Michael isn't aware that she went to the hospital. Tomorrow, when Michael arrives, he will be confronted with a scene that will make him forget about Chioma forever.'
'I wonder where my son picked up that trash,' Patricia said coldly.
'From the slums,' Jessica replied, even though she knew Patricia wasn't asking a question. She appeared satisfied because she believed that her obstacle, Chioma, would be completely removed from her path.
