Chapter 65 - Ch 65- An Interesting Meeting Between Brothers

Lil White suddenly let out a low growl. Its four paws dug firmly into the ground and it refused to move another step forward.

Alvin, who had been lying comfortably across Lil White's broad back while sleeping soundly, was startled awake by the sudden movement.

"Hmm?" he murmured groggily. His eyelids were still half closed as he rubbed his eyes and spoke lazily, his voice full of confusion. "Lil White, why did you suddenly stop?"

Lil White let out another low growl, signaling Alvin to look ahead.

Alvin gradually came to his senses. His vision slowly focused, and only then did he clearly see the situation in front of him.

Several dozen meters away stood a formation of elite cavalry.

However, the warhorses beneath those soldiers seemed to be under some strange pressure. They pawed restlessly at the ground with their hooves and snorted heavily, yet none of them dared to move even a single step forward.

Lil White was a massive white-browed tiger with sharp eyes and a majestic presence. Among tigers it was a true king, a genuine ruler of beasts.

The powerful aura naturally emitted by such a predator was not something ordinary warhorses could withstand.

"I am Iron Bear, the Prince of the Cortes Kingdom and the future King!"

A slightly sharp voice that tried to sound authoritative rang out.

Iron Bear sat on his warhorse while leaning forward, desperately pulling on the reins as he tried to control the frightened animal that kept retreating.

Fear flickered in his eyes as he stared at the enormous white tiger and the man riding on its back.

"Who are you? Move aside immediately! Do not block this Prince's path!" he shouted loudly.

The moment Alvin heard the name spoken by the man opposite him, the last traces of sleepiness vanished from his eyes.

He slowly straightened his body and sat upright. His gaze turned cold and indifferent as he quietly looked at Iron Bear as though he were examining an insignificant insect.

An invisible pressure spread outward from him.

Even Lil White, who was used to Alvin's presence, felt its heart tremble slightly. It almost lost control and began to shiver faintly.

The tiger secretly thought that this human's aura was truly terrifying whenever he became angry.

"Prince Iron Bear, that man is Red Hawk Alvin!"

At that moment Captain Gesar, the commander of the royal guards, quickly pulled a wanted poster from his coat. He pointed directly at Alvin and spoke in a deep voice.

"What did you say?"

Iron Bear's eyes widened instantly. His face filled with shock and disbelief as his voice rose several tones higher.

"He is Red Hawk Alvin!?"

However, after only a few seconds the fear in Iron Bear's eyes disappeared.

It was replaced by a nearly insane ruthlessness.

A greedy excitement appeared on his face as he stared viciously at Alvin.

"If he really is Red Hawk, Captain Gesar, kill him for me!" he shouted loudly.

"Yes, Prince Iron Bear!"

Gesar accepted the order immediately and shouted toward the guards behind him.

"Everyone listen! Attack! Kill Red Hawk Alvin!"

"Charge!"

"Kill him!"

"Die, Red Hawk!"

The guards raised their weapons and charged toward the man and tiger with loud battle cries.

"ROAR!!!"

At that critical moment a deafening tiger roar suddenly exploded across the plain.

The sound was like thunder erupting beside their ears. It carried overwhelming dominance and the natural majesty of a supreme predator.

The warhorses of the guard soldiers instantly reacted with pure instinctive fear.

They violently threw their riders from their backs before neighing in terror and scattering in every direction.

"Ah!"

"Damn it!"

"My horse!"

"Ah! Damn it! I've been trampled!"

The soldiers who had been thrown to the ground immediately fell into chaos.

Panicked horses galloped wildly through the formation, trampling soldiers who had no time to escape.

Agonized screams echoed continuously across the open field as the entire scene descended into confusion and tragedy.

"Prince Iron Bear, be careful!"

When Gesar saw Iron Bear about to be trampled by a crazed horse, his heart nearly stopped. He shouted in panic.

Iron Bear heard the warning and his mind instantly cleared.

But the moment he looked up, his face turned pale with fear.

A warhorse had leapt high into the air, and the place where its hooves were about to land was exactly where he had fallen.

Iron Bear's eyes widened with terror.

He desperately tried to roll away, his limbs flailing wildly, but it was already too late.

"Bang!"

At the final moment between life and death a sharp gunshot tore through the air.

Immediately afterward the warhorse that was about to trample Iron Bear suddenly exploded.

With a loud boom the animal burst apart like an overfilled balloon.

Chunks of horse flesh scattered across the ground while crimson blood splashed everywhere, covering Iron Bear's face and body.

Iron Bear squeezed his eyes shut tightly as he felt the hot liquid splatter onto him.

He believed he was about to die.

However, the expected crushing pain from the horse's hooves never came.

This scene stunned Gesar and the remaining guard soldiers.

For a moment everyone seemed frozen in place, as if time itself had stopped.

Looking around, the warhorses had already fled in every direction.

What remained was only a chaotic battlefield.

Several soldiers lay scattered across the ground. Some were injured and screaming in pain while others were covered in dust and looked utterly miserable.

Iron Bear slowly opened his eyes.

He could hardly believe he was still alive.

After several stunned seconds he spoke with surprise and confusion.

"I... I'm not dead? Gesar, am I really not dead?"

But no matter how many times he called out, Gesar gave no response.

Not only Gesar, every guard soldier was staring in Alvin's direction with wide eyes and pale faces.

At some point Alvin had already dismounted slightly and was sitting calmly atop Lil White.

In his hands he held a sniper rifle whose muzzle still released faint wisps of heat.

It was obvious that the shot had been fired by him.

Alvin ignored their shocked gazes. He gently pressed his legs against Lil White's sides.

Lil White immediately understood and began walking slowly toward Iron Bear.

"Red... Red Hawk... what are you trying to do?" Gesar finally reacted.

His heart tightened as he hurried forward and spread his arms to block the path in front of Iron Bear.

The other guards also rushed over nervously and surrounded Iron Bear while staring at Alvin and Lil White with tense expressions.

"Red Hawk! You... you dare kill me?" Iron Bear shouted while hiding behind the others. His voice trembled with fear as he stared at the approaching man and tiger.

Lil White stopped less than one meter away from the guards.

Looking at the humans standing so close, drool slowly dripped from its mouth as it let out a deep growling sound from its throat.

However, since Alvin had not given any command, the tiger endured its hunger and did not act recklessly.

The guards were nearly frightened out of their minds by the enormous beast. Several of the soldiers at the front collapsed onto the ground in terror and even lost control of their bladders.

"Vera... what is she to you?" Alvin asked coldly while looking at Iron Bear.

"She... she is my mother," Iron Bear answered without thinking.

"Bang!"

Another gunshot rang out.

Iron Bear, who had narrowly escaped death moments earlier and believed he was safe, had his head instantly blown apart by the high velocity bullet.

Alvin showed no mercy to the remaining guards.

Every single one of them was slaughtered cleanly.
