Chapter 11 - Freedom

Karan sat in his prison cell but the difference was that now he was shifted to the highest ward, his cell was not filled with moss or made up of bricks anymore rather it was made up of a smooth rubber like substance pure white in colour, spherical in shape and before at least he could entertain himself while watching the ants crawl in between the spaces of bricks but maybe now it wasn't needed.

Even the accompanying officer now only came to deliver food ,water and sanitation, other than exchange of plates and glasses they had no interaction. No sound escaped from the room and similarly none came in either. Instead of iron bars however was a small opening which opened and closed with small hydraulic hiss.

There were small ventilation openings for air to come in on the roof of the spherical room.

The artificial white glow of 'urja patthar' made only enough amount of light so that the room is 'visible' enough.

There was a white mattress on one end and a seat toilet on the opposite end of the room, both pure white. Even the clothes given to him were pure white. The highest ward of NARAK is a place which is most heavily isolated, the purpose of this ward is to cut off the already low interaction the prisoner has with the world and let isolation do it's work.

But they didn't isolate karan to break him, they isolated karan to 'contain' him, because that day the warden saw it, he saw how his mind and body was toyed with. He understood that if such a being was let go even for a moment then they will not be able to 'catch' him again.

And now no one came to drag him to the torture room because that day everyone present there realized that, 'This man is dangerous'.

Even though it was shameful for them to admit, how could they say 'Military's battle hardened veterans failed to contain a boy who hadn't reached adulthood yet, not to mention a commoner with no lineage'. People would laugh at that, their reputation will come stumbling down and so they reached at only one conclusion,

'if you can't break it then simply contain it. Forever if necessary'

But how can a man stop something it cannot see?

After his eating his so called 'Dinner'.

Karan sat in lotus position and closed his eyes.

After closing his eyes, he said "I am ready Master" but he was all alone at the moment

Just after his words left his tongue he felt the random stream of thoughts in his mind stop and some words formed in his mind

'I shall now return to you the memories of your past life' as if filling an empty cup, the humongous pillar of pink light shot down from heavens once again.

(Warden's POV)

The pile of papers lay before me reminding me of my duties. "For god's sake" I put aside the checked pile of documents and before I could breath another awaited beside me.

"Here is your tea my lord" I heard Silviya's tender voice in my ears as she put a cup of tea in front of me. I readjusted my posture and sat while facing her. The fragrance of tea hit my nostrils forcing laziness out of me. I saw Silviya drinking tea sitting in front me on a chair.

The polished golden surface of table reflected her beauty fully, 'How beautiful' I couldn't help but get mesmerized by her every time I see her. But then my eyes moved towards her arms. There was a slight trembling everytime she moved her arm. A shadow fell over my face and when I moved my hand to caress her hair, She lost her grip on the cup, the moment she saw my hand coming.

The cup fell from her hand and shattered on the floor. I saw it, her hands trembled and she blacked out the moment she saw my hand approaching her.

When she finally registered what has happened she immediately tried to apologize "M-m-my lord I-" I stood up prompting her to stop and went outside in the balcony to get some fresh air.

Something was surely weird and then the wind which had been flowing gently till now began to speed up, and then I saw, big black clouds hovering over the tower.

I turned around and tilted my head upward, there were black clouds everywhere.

"What the hell?" I shouted

The windows began to make loud sounds, the kind when they collide to their boundaries during a storm.

' But NARAK didn't had clouds' I could only question the authenticity of the phenomena I was currently witnessing.

The clouds began to rotate around the top of central tower and that's when it hit my mind.

Those deep luminous pink eyes.

Without waiting I ran through the stairs, I concentrated on my 'kul-tattva', the world around me blurred and I could feel the energy of Fire assisting me. I went up floors per second and when I finally arrived. I saw a spherical structure, yes the room where k-013 was confined, it was still locked but I felt the energy in the environment rising, my uniform swayed, if I had been a normal human I would've long been stopped by the wind as I took a step forward a vast, vast pressure descended.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"

The pressure intensified, pinning me to the ground and when one last time I moved my eyes upwards, I could only see a huge pillar of pink light descend on the spherical room in front of me while my consciousness was reaped by the ancient pressure.

That day NARAK experienced it's first and only earthquake and power outage.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2 cycles have passed since that day

In a simple white room sat a familiar boy whose brown hair had grown thick, reaching down his waist. Yet as if time had never truly passed for him since his eyes held the same look even after 2 cycles of complete isolation.

It was as if a wildfire had condensed into sun.

'It is time' the words formed in his mind by themselves and with that he stood up, He walked towards the end of his cell and simply passed 'through' it.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Shit shit shit why is this happening!?" barked warden while he butchered a large 'Bahya Prani'. Space beasts are also known as 'Bahya Prani'. They are like wild animals of the space, since the humans have advanced so much these space beasts normally do not pose any danger to humans but when these come together in a large group then they are deadly. But generally these beasts are hostile to each other as well and mostly fight each other till the victorious beast kill and eat each other.

They just roam around in space individually but never were they seen attacking in a group.

NARAK was attacked by enoromous amount of space beasts, there were so many of them that they even reached the central prison. The central prison was holding till the reinforcements from the empire came to assist and naturally as the head of NARAK, the one at the vanguard was

Warden.

Everyone was busy fighting and it was surely nowhere near the end.

"Keep holding the line" warden shouted his words travelling from ear to ear. He was about to go help other officers when he saw.

A man with waist long brown hair walked, the horrifying part was however that he walked on air no on space itself. It was as if an invisible path stretched across the starry sky solely for him.

Warden concentrated, the world around him twisted and he too began to run on air, but no matter how fast he went, the distance between them kept increasing. That man took steps at a leisurely pace yet the distance he covered in every single step was monstrous. It was as if he wasn't going to his destination instead the destination was coming towards him. A 'Bahya Prani' came very close to him but passed near him ignoring him completely and instead clashed with warden.

The warden's eyes widened as he clashed with 'Bahya Prani' but , the next moment he saw that

the brown haired man turned and his deep luminous pink eyes stared at him, the warden blinked once and he....

was.....gone.

Vanished

Warden felt strength leaving him as his legs gave out. He fell on his knees all the while his mind fell into despair staring at the empty starry sky which refused to provide any answers.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sitting on a wooden chair, Shishya stared at the newspaper's front page where in bold letters was written

'NARAK ATTACKED BY AN ARMY OF BAHYA PRANI'

"Oh I remember, this is a canon event marking the starting of the main story" he muttered under his breath
