Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: Bringing Gohan Home

"You... you already knew?" King Kai swallowed hard, looking astonished. "Looks like you've already found a way to get back quickly?"

"Yes, I found it. As long as I'm revived, I can go back immediately!" Goku smiled and nodded.

"Go back immediately? You must be dreaming!" King Kai's face darkened. "I'll tell you right now, I don't have the ability to send you directly back to Earth!"

"Haha, of course I know that!" Goku waved his hand dismissively.

After training for 158 days, Goku still hadn't reached even 10% of his GT timeline strength—only about one ten-thousandth.

He believed that with more good training, he should be able to return to his peak.

"Also, I originally wanted to teach you my ultimate technique, the Spirit Bomb!" King Kai smiled smugly. "But since you said you wanted to train on your own, I just won't teach you! Hehehe! Are you regretting it now?"

"The Spirit Bomb? I know how to do that!" As Goku spoke, he raised his hand and immediately gathered a small Spirit Bomb.

King Kai: "..."

King Kai was instantly speechless.

How does this kid even know the Spirit Bomb!

Is this a joke?

Did the Supreme Kai teach you everything?

Wait, the Spirit Bomb is my invention!

When did the Supreme Kai secretly learn it?

I don't dare think about it—after all, the Supreme Kai is the greatest god in this universe.

"The Spirit Bomb is a great thing. It'll definitely help a lot in the future." Goku smiled and casually dispersed the Spirit Bomb.

King Kai couldn't say anything.

Is there anything this kid doesn't know?

...

Earth.

Muten Roshi's island.

The giant Shenron appeared in the black night sky.

Below stood Muten Roshi, Bulma, Oolong, and Puar.

"Speak your wish, and I shall grant you any one wish." Shenron's voice rang out in the night sky.

"Say, how about wishing to defeat the Saiyans and save Earth?" Oolong quickly asked.

"What are you talking about?" Bulma snapped angrily. "Don't you want to bring Goku back to life?"

"It's fine, we can revive Goku next time. It's simple—we just need to collect the Dragon Balls again, right?" Oolong looked up at Bulma, arguing confidently.

"That wish is impossible. I was created by Kami, and I cannot grant wishes that exceed Kami's power." Shenron's voice rang out again.

"Then... please bring Goku back to life!" Muten Roshi made the wish.

"That's no problem!" Shenron responded, and light flashed in his fiery red eyes.

The halo above Goku's head slowly disappeared.

"The halo above your head is gone! You're alive!" King Kai said with tears streaming down his face, moved with emotion.

You can finally leave!

I hope you won't come back to disturb my peaceful life again!

"Alright, got it." Goku nodded. "Well then, goodbye, King Kai... I'll come visit you when I have time."

As he spoke, Goku pressed his index and middle fingers together against his forehead.

"Whoosh!"

Goku used Instant Transmission and vanished from the spot in a flash.

King Kai's eyes widened, his eyeballs piercing through his glasses and popping out of their sockets.

He disappeared?

Where did this kid go?

How did he do that?

This is completely unbelievable!

...

Earth.

A certain wasteland area.

Gohan and Piccolo both looked up at the sky simultaneously.

"It's broad daylight... why did the sky suddenly turn dark?" Gohan muttered strangely.

Piccolo's heart suddenly trembled.

Isn't this Shenron appearing?

Which means... Goku has been revived.

Could it be that the Saiyans are arriving earlier than expected?

Just as Piccolo's heart was trembling.

"Whoosh!"

Goku used Instant Transmission and appeared beside Piccolo and Gohan in an instant.

Piccolo froze, his expression shocked as he looked at the suddenly appearing Goku, unable to process what had happened.

Gohan rubbed his eyes even more, his eyes reddening, nearly shedding tears.

"Dad... Dad..." After a brief moment of shock, Gohan immediately rushed into Goku's arms.

"Gohan... hahaha, this feels so unfamiliar!" Goku laughed. "But I really miss this feeling."

Gohan: "????"

Piccolo: "..."

"Goku! How did you get here?" Piccolo looked at Goku in surprise.

"Well... how should I put this?" Goku scratched his head. "It's called Instant Transmission. That's all I can say for now."

"Instant Transmission!" Piccolo was shocked, then looked Goku up and down, unable to help asking, "So? The Saiyans showing up this time... are you confident you can win?"

"Leave it to me!" Goku nodded seriously, then looked down at Gohan, saying somewhat apologetically, "Gohan, I'm really sorry. Dad came too late! You don't need to participate in this battle. Don't you want to become a great scholar? Go pursue your dream! From now on, Dad doesn't want you involved in battles anymore!"

Gohan: "????"

Gohan looked completely bewildered.

Piccolo: "..."

Piccolo's face darkened even more.

Wait... Goku, are you messing with me?

I trained your son for nearly a year.

You're saying he won't fight just like that?

"Piccolo, thank you for taking care of Gohan these past few months." Goku waved at Piccolo and placed his other hand on Gohan's shoulder, saying quietly, "Gohan, don't move!"

Gohan was a bit confused.

"Whoosh!"

Goku used Instant Transmission and vanished from the spot in the blink of an eye.

Piccolo stood there in the wind, utterly bewildered.

Where'd they go?

Where did they disappear to?

This is really strange!

A breeze blew by, and Piccolo felt his heart go cold.

The student he'd trained for nearly a year had just been taken away like that.

And he won't even let him fight!

Goku, you've really gone too far.

Goku had already decided that since Gohan didn't like fighting, in this life he would let him do what he loved.

In the previous life—or rather, from this time onward—Gohan had been involuntarily drawn into battles.

Because Piccolo died in battle, Gohan had to go to Namek to wish for Piccolo's revival.

Later, because of the Androids, I took Gohan to train in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber.

In this life, whether it's Frieza, Cell, or even Majin Buu, they're nothing to worry about.

So whether Gohan trains or not doesn't matter.

"Whoosh!"

Goku brought Gohan back home using Instant Transmission, arriving in the blink of an eye.

Gohan immediately looked around in all directions, his young face full of shock and confusion.

Where is this?

It looks like my home?

Did I come home?

"Am... am I seeing things?" Chi-Chi rubbed her eyes, thinking her vision was playing tricks on her, muttering to herself, "Is that Goku and Gohan?"
