Lucian's POV
A jagged laugh broke from Tanjiro, echoing harshly through the dense crowd, before his face contorted with sudden irritation. "Is this a joke? Because I don't like jokes."
I stared right back into his furious eyes, keeping my voice absolute steel. "Free those girls right now."
He wasn't having it. His massive chest heaved as he turned his head and yelled, "Boca, what the fuck is this?! You brought your friend here to insult me? Didn't you tell him who I was?!"
Boca stepped up immediately, his face tense as he grabbed my shoulder. "Lucian, you can't do this here. This isn't our place. We came for only one thing, and we should leave with that one thing, okay? So please, let's not cause any trouble."
Ragnar chimed in from my other side, his voice strained as he scanned the room of hostile rogues. "I think Boca is right. We can't face all these people by ourselves. So please, stop."
