Chapter 22 - Chapter 22: Unordinary

On the bed, you could see Alexander lying down, moving from time to time, and this had already been happening for about five hours.

It was already the dead of night, and his eyes were bulging as if he were trying to pierce through the skill book itself.

"Is this skill book broken? Why is it so damn hard to understand?" he said, opening and closing the book.

"Didn't that guy reach the early stage in just a few hours? Damn, why can't I get into the flow at all?" he growled.

A few hours ago, he had already tried to mimic the steps, but it did not work.

So he tried to first understand what it meant, but even after all of this, he did not achieve even one percent mastery.

"Forget it, I should just focus on the important parts. If I cannot master any of this skill book, it is better to just plunder those who know the skills," he said with a sigh.

He had been imagining himself as a protagonist too much. Putting the book down, he could see that the others were not even opened yet.

If a iron grade skill was already this hard to learn, what was he going to do with a that supreme skill? Swallow the whole book? If that were possible, he would have already done it.

"Wait a second, is this possible?" he said as an idea struck his mind.

Thinking about it, he hurriedly picked up the book and as he opened it, he shouted at the top of his lungs.

"Plunderer"

The moment he shouted that a transparent panel appeared.

[Analyzing...]

Seeing this, Alexander felt like he had struck gold this time. He laughed, laughing like a maniac in the middle of the night.

But then...

[Nice try :D]

Seeing the sudden message his face went blank as if there was a huge question mark on it.

"The fuck do you mean nice try? Are you scamming me system?" Alexander roared, trying to grab the panel and shake profusely, but it was TRANSPARENT!

[Host, please do not associate me with the other panel. I am not the one who said that]

Hearing this Alexander was speechless, but in the end he finally calmed down. He had been too excited, only for it to fail in the end.

What a tragic turn of events.

[Hehehe]

The heavenly lobby giggled, earning Alexander a few black lines, since he realized he had been an idiot for falling for its tricks.

"Alright, alright, sorry, system. Then I will just call you System, and the other one System 2.0,"

[Okay]

The system replied, but the other one which is System 2.0 did not.

After that Alexander lay down on the bed, his mind running out of ideas on how to cheat his way into learning these skill books.

[Host, why don't you visit the dungeon again? Did you forget what I said earlier about the massive update for your third entry?]

Hearing this, Alexander suddenly remembered what the system had said earlier. He had been so absorbed in what he was doing that he had completely forgotten about it.

"Alright then, I will check it out," he said.

After that, Alexander closed his eyes following the process of entry which is sleeping by closing his eyes.

[Be careful Host]

After it said that, Alexander woke up on top of a tree, making him surprised that even this could be considered a spawn point.

Then all of a sudden, a prompt appeared.

[After two days of the host's leisure, the Heavenly Lobby has finally been updated to the final version]

[Update: Every beast inside the dungeon will now have a 100% aggression toward the host]

Reading this, Alexander's eyes went wide. This update was literally a death notice for him.

"Is this even a good update?"

He growled but the moment he said that, the leaves beneath him shook, and slowly a small white leg appeared.

It was a rabbit, no a hopper. With his sharp senses, Alexander dodged the attack.

But then four more Hoppers appeared behind him, making him shocked as to why he was being attacked as a group.

[Acceleration Activated]

He activated the skill, dodging to the side with great speed.

As he descended his senses spread around, and he felt that everywhere there were rustling and snarling sounds of these beasts.

"Systemmmm, what in the world did you do?!" he growled loudly.

But he had no time to curse more, as all of the rabbits were closing in on him. Instead of running, he stood still and assumed a fighting stance.

Clearly, he was also curious about how powerful he was now. As they hopped closer to him, his eyes sharpened, and he saw that they were actually quite slow if he focused enough.

Because he had been caught off guard earlier, he responded by sweeping his leg at one rabbit's head.

Just like that of a twig, it snapped and its eyes lost their color.

Seeing this, Alexander was surprised. As the rabbit was flung away, more attackers came.

They lunged at him from all sides, and just by lowering his stance, he delivered rapid strikes in every direction with blinding speed.

The cracking of bones and the sound of flesh being smashed filled the area. The rabbits, as if struck by a boulder, were sent flying dead, hitting the trees or the ground.

But it did not end there, as enemies kept coming and going. Alexander moved fluidly and dodged all of their attacks like a snake.

He flipped, ducked, and slid, while delivering his strikes with grace.

Because of this, his battle experience slowly increased, and his bloodlust also began to rise with each kill.

Seeing the endless bodies around him, Alexander smiled knowing that it meant a lot of stat points.

After an hour, the enemies slowly began to recede from time to time, and the dead bodies of the hoppers started to pile up.

"Die,"

"Die for me!" Alexander roared, finding ecstasy in it.

Another half an hour passed he breathed a sigh of relief, with sweats covering his face since that endless battle just now exhausted him greatly.

"Reaching the eight level of mana condensation is really great," he said with a smile.

When he was about to move and plunder all of those dead hoppers, his eyes caught something around him.

Red and blue orbs began to pop up, and they were about the size of a baseball, radiating with energy.

He was too occupied that he actually didn't noticed anything.

"What the heck are these?" he called out.

"System, is this what you mean by the rewards?" he asked.

But the system did not reply to him, which made him raise a brow. Every time he entered the dungeon, the system was very quiet.

Touching the red orb first, a powerful energy suddenly coursed through him, followed by a very pure mana, which shocked him.

It even increased the percentage of his cultivation level, causing a spark of amazement in his eyes.

"The system's value is actually on the same level as my skill Plunderer. With this, leveling up my cultivation will take no time at all," he laughed as he disappeared and reappeared from place to place, touching the red orbs.

His level kept rising, and after a while, he had reached the 10th level of the Mana Condensation Stage, which was a great shock to him.
