"My name's Joanne. I'm Annalisa's older sister." Joanne stretched out her hand for a shake. "I'm so glad to meet you."
Luellen didn't want to shake a stranger's hand. She just looked at Joanne. "Sorry, I don't think I've ever met anyone from Mom's family before. I have other guests over. I can only ask you to come back another time."
Joanne took her hand back. She continued to smile. "Okay. I'm happy the house belongs to you now. Sigh. Annalisa didn't want to sell the house. It's just that… the Pipers didn't want their son moving into it. She had to leave it to me. It doesn't like me, however. I sold it a few years later… but it kept evicting new owners.
